    Re: Euro event

Seems to be going ok, the competition is not too strong yet for the MLRH team..I thing Team GB may give them a test though if it is the same team as the one which played in the IIHFI World Cup event this year..they took Team USA to overtime. My son is over there as a last minute replacement. He is also playing in the 20U and 17U divisions, so he is getting lot's of hockey...PM me.

The Euro Cup has been going well. The bugs that had to be ironed out to get the scores published has apparently been worked out and Bill has asked me to put them on the website. Problem is, only one out of three days has been inputted. Hopefully, I'll find time today to get the rest in.

They will be up hopefully by the end of the day today in the Europe section. Like I said, I've got only one day in so far and need to spend some of the free time entering in more scores! At the very least, I'll add the MLRH Exhibition games.

    Re: Euro event

So far the scores were both 9 - 2 in favor of the MLRH "All Stars" or whatever they are called..one game against "Team Wales" (or was supposed to be) and the other against "Team England"..not sure if they didn't end up playing "Team England" twice though. My reports are sketchy lol.

Is there a roster for the so-called MLRH All-stars. I would like to check that out.

    Re: Euro event

i have just gotten home from playing in the mlrh tournie, i played in 20U, coed and womens and i thought it was really good. we didnt really no what was going on a lot of the time cos teams dropped out and messed bill about with little notice, but the games was good, the reffing was good, and arena was real good except the floor was soooooo slippy it took me like 5or6 games to get to the point i could almost stop.

the coed division was a whole lot of fun, the best guys were playing, as were the best girls, the games were fast and intense but everybody was having a real laugh at the same time. that was my favorite divison to play in but 20U was kool too, my team (snaith stormers) only narrowly lost to the american team in that division too which we was pretty chuffed about.

the GB team gave the MLRH team a real run for there money, they was winning for a while in the 1st match, and both socres were close altho i cudnt tell you them exactly. and the womens gb vs america thing was a 4-1 win to gb.

i want to thank bill raue for working so hard to put on the event, it was well appreciated

    Re: Euro event

I think the mens' team scores over the 4 games went as follows according to my son...if he gave me the scores correctly.

    Game 1 Wed. 9 - 2 MLRH USA vs Team England/GB??
    Game 2 Thurs. 9 - 2 MLRH USA VS Team England/GB??
Game 3 Friday 6 - 3 MLRH USA vs Team GB
Game 4 Sat. 6 - 4 MLRH USA vs Team GB

The last couple of games saw some of the better players for Team GB show up making the team more representative of what they sent to Canada, but still not the full World Cup team by any means.

    Re: Euro event

I cant believe that is the MLRH STARS!! CJ, Ron, and Brian; yes.... But Chris and Jeremy are High School kids who probably couldnt start for any MLRH team. I guess other couldnt make the trip. I am glad they won!

    Re: Euro event Stats

The stats will be coming soon! Give me a couple of days to let the voice recover, the head to get back on east coast time and me to decipher my own handwriting!!!

Had we been able to get online right from the first puck, I would've had the scores up as they happened. Not having access for four days killed me!

BTW--Thanks to Dave De LaHaye for refereeing the tournament. Anyone who had a problem with him over the last three days, shame on you. I'd like to see you do 50 games and still be fresh. I believe he did around 60-70 games, including all the finals and exhibitions. Not an easy task. Thanks Dave.
