You can contact me, Travis Burkhardt, at [email protected] with any
questions you may have. I have a good background in campus rink development,
funding procedures and increased allocation, fundraising, and general team
    organization and development.

We had over 30 A-level players tryout for the team this year in a town of under
100,000 that is basically 2 hours away from any medium to large cities. Not exactly
the environment that you would find a lot of inline or even ice hockey experience.
We approved and funded campus rink facility plans. We have also established the largest
fund allocated budget between all of the sports clubs on campus.

The ups and downs we have experienced to get to this point has been a great learning
experience. It would be great to share some of that experience with other teams that
care to hear some advice. After all, you want an organization that will be solid for years
to come and not one that begins with a good handful of players that dissolve into
    nothing down the road.

    Hi Travis,

Your experiences at Chico State would make a great Central Square column. How about it?

    Rich,

I am actually in the process of developing an organization model for starting and running a college inline hockey club that will be a major portion of the team's website. By doing this, other teams can use my organization as a benchmark and learning tool, and also provide a long-term structure for my own organization to continue when I leave. Fortunately, I have a team faculty advisor that is willing to put some time into this with me. I will let you know when we get this up and running.

    Hi Travis,

Sounds good. Make sure your web site is in IHC's Links section, if it's not already. The idea of providing a long-term structure is excellent. I know this is one of the biggest issues facing collegiate inline hockey -- keeping the program going after the original founders move on. Keep up the good work!
