    New Rink in Vegas

There is a new Roller Hockey facility opening up in Las Vegas. They have one rink with bleachers and a bar and resturant. You can watch the games from the bar and there is seating about 20 feet above the rink where you can eat and drink. They also have batting cages, minature golf, arcade, and rock climbing. It is located about a mile from the strip on Las Vegas Boulvard and sunset. Its on the south side of the airport. I have heard some other plans that are in the works. Leagues start on Aug 1st. I think this news should make some people happy.

That's great news. Can you give us some more info on the place. Do you know if they will have any open pickup nights? I'm in Vegas working a few times a year and would rather go for a good skate than hang in a casino.

They have a website that should have that info. www.lasvegasrollerhockey.com . They are having an open pickup from 11am to 9pm tomorrow that is free. I planning on going for a at least an hour or so. They have a new floor i believe is called spider court. I want to see how it play before i skate my first game on it.

The floor here is smaller then the floor at crystal palace. There is not a lot of space to pick up speed. You have to be able to pass the puck and play good defense. Someone said the 2 man trap will stop most teams. in january they will be building 2 more rinks that will built in what is a grass field. Those two rinks will be regulation side. The bar is not open yet but when it does there will be some drunk hockey players. The floor is spider court and the puck bounces a lot less on this floor and man is it grippy. I may have to get new wheels.
