Re: Starting a new team???
I would suggest finding a group of 10-15 people who would be committed to playing a league somewhere. Try to get some small funds from your school and work fundraisers to help develop your program. Once your name gets out there, try to bring in some freshman players and spark interest in the local area. I recently started up a college club team at my school and we basically did everything I just stated. We're small right now, and most of the people on the team have never played serious hockey before, ex( our goalie's previous experience is playing catcher in baseball, lol..we're going to lose a lot...). If you work hard enough and spread the word about the team, you can spark enough interest to form a good team... Good Luck!

Make announcements for your team in your school and post flyers. They did that at a school here where they thought there was only like 5 players and ended up getting 20 people to come out because there were a bunch of ex-AAA ice players from michigan and stuff that went to the school that nobody knew about.
