Micro Bearings On Standard Wheels
I bought a pair of roller hockey skates that came with ABEC 7 micro bearings and I bought a pair of outdoor wheels (to replace the indoor wheels that it came with) but I bought standard wheels as I didn't know I had the micro bearings until I took a wheel off the chasis.
I know there are shields out there, but anyone knows any good shields that are available for sale online? I went to a local sporting store and the guy said I need new bearings. Anyone tried any shields before? Thanks.

Re: Micro Bearings On Standard Wheels
You can buy the stuff you need at adamsinline.com. You will need to get new inside spacers and the sleeves that snap into the standard wheels. I have the same setup and bought this stuff from Adam.. He deals mostly in speed skating equipment, but the bearings, spacers, and adaptors are all the same. Good luck.

Re: Micro Bearings On Standard Wheels
speaking from personal experience the micro bearing sleeves are a terrible purchase. I tried 3 different styles of them and they all had problems. some are loose inside of the hub of the wheel, some dont fit at all, and after a short time they warp and become useless. you are better off getting a set of cheap bearings for outdoor use.

Re: Micro Bearings On Standard Wheels
I would suggest HockeyMonkey.com. They have 2002 Labeda Gripper Lite Wheels 688 Mini Core (72 & 80 MM) on closeout for $2.99 each. Less than $24 (plus shipping) for a whole set of good micro bearing wheels.

he said hes using them outside, so grippers would do no good to him, that being said, u could always give the spacers a shot, if they work for you good *censored*, if not than its time to find some outdoor wheels with mini setup (dont count on it) other wise jus get some regular bearings
