    Swoosh and Typhoon League Champs

The Tour Typhoon defeated the Tour Minutemen last night in game 2 to take the championship. Brian Ying was playoff MVP. Team Breakaway Swoosh defeated the Morristown Minutemen to earn their first Minor league title. Goal tender Steve Kolb was playoff MVP. In 3 games steve only gave up 6 goals and almost had a shutout in game 2 of the finals. It's been an incredible season for PIHA. I just wanna send congrats out to everyone that particpated this season and good luck to those continuing their play in the upcoming MLRH season.

Congratulations to both winners!!! Remember the site gets updated when the individual has a chance. The people who do this have other lives outside of roller hockey and these aren't paid positions. I guess to volunteer for something only deserves grief if you can't make those who are impatient happy. Maybe a kind hearted thank you and keep up the good work would be better. So to all of those involved in PIHA for all their hard work over the past three years THANK YOU!!!!!!

exactly. one more thing...if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. all you've (5 hole) done all year is complain about everything that went on. plain and simple...don't play in the league next year. we do not need you or your negativity. also, sign your posts if you're going to be so critical.

First off, congrats to the winners. In response to Jeff's post...
Keep in mind that the players are also not paid and lets face it without them, there is no league. Asking for a frequently updated website is, in my opinion, not asking a lot. Although I'm sure we all respect that the people running the league/website have lives outside hockey, this is touted as a Pro league. Part of a Pro league being "Pro" is the infrastructures attention to detail (ie; website, scheduling, ect.). Its a minor inconvenience to spend a little extra time keeping people informed through the website, which is our best connection to the players, teams, and league. Of course their efforts should be commended regardless, but here is a suggestion for improvement. I think we all would appreciate the extra effort and its beneficial to the league growing and gaining further support. Just my opinion...

I agree with you totally....I was just responding to someone who constantly bashes the league. A updated website isn't a lot to ask for but when all you do is complain it gets old. I for one know how hard these guys work. They go hard and beyond for every persons benefit. From being involved with just one team as a sponsor I have a good idea of the amount of hours it takes just to run one team. Let alone all these guys who run these teams are the ones doing stuff for the league. Lets not focus on any negative and go with every positive thing that came from the league this year. All the parity between teams has not been matched by any other league yet! Way to go on a phenominal season PIHA.

thanks yokes. this one however was a lot tougher and the guys pulled it all together down the stretch. this league was much better this year and anyone could have won it. i would also like to offer my congratulations to the swoosh as we saw the future of this league this weekend. you guys are a great team and steve kolb deserves all the recognition he gets. not only is he a great goalie but a hell of a guy. congrtulations PIHA on another great season and here's to taking those little steps each year.

    Justin Silvia

    Hey,
Looking to get a report on how Justin is doing. He colapsed in the middle of game 2. Clearly dehydrated.....It was alittle scary. He needed help getting off the rink and was clearly dazed. I hope he's doing well.

Did I hear something about parity from another post? Those scores are pretty far apart for Final games.

You know, it's going to be great reading this forum when the two leagues merge. Some of you will be so lost ... so upset ... that sense of purpose gone ... you have nothing to bash anymore! I'll send you all a bullhorn and you can heckle the local men's league from the stands every Tuesday and Thursday night!
