That TORHS tournament is all but a rigged joke. That is one of my LEAST favorite tournaments.

It may be one of your least favorite tournaments, but what would make you say it is rigged? Are the results predetermined? Do you know who is going to win in all divisions already, save them a trip to Detroit because if you do you can save a lot of people time and money. They can go on vacation in Hawaii instea, and just mail in their scores.

BTW, ask Charlotte Nicholson about her experience at AAU Disney Nationals, Memorial Day Weekend, she played for my GEAR Mid America Team.

I take it you've lost at TORHS many times and now your sour. I hardly say TORHS is rigged. Have you ever been to a TORHS national? Seen all divisions play from the little ones up to the Pro series? Witnessed the excitement? Probably not. Remember, winners never quit, and quiters never win.

I've only played it that tournament once, and the way they place the teams is bad, if you're on a ... not so sucessful team, like mine. We got creamed. Why couldn't we play teams in our own division?? National?? Is that a joke? I've never been to a TORHS national. Never. And I probably won't ever. Excitement? Not in the one they played here. Not even music during the game. I can't recall I've ever quit, so I guess I'm a winner already.

I find this a complete waste of my time, debating these issues about TORHS, since I have no gain here, but, if your team wasn't that good, why enter? Only the top two in each division qualify for nationals. At the regionals, YOU enter your team in the appropriate division. TORHS' doesn't call you and say, hey, guess what, your bad team is in this division. Understanding the format would probably serve your interest better. Had you had a better team, qualified, and went to a national, I'm sure your tune would change. Don't knock it until you try it.

I make it a point to know about all of the girls who play hockey. I coach girls teams and I recruit girls players and I win. You play for the hericanes and play USAHIL.

6 of the girls who have played for me in the last 2 years have made the USARS TEAM USA Tryout Camp.

Ask Charlotte, see what she says.......

If it's a waste of time, why are you trying to be a smart alec to me?? I'm guessing your team is one of those hot-shot "put-together" all-star teams, and you score 10 goals a game. Are you? We all have to work 10 times as hard to stay in the games, against teams like Prince Williams Panthers Red. No glory. FYI, MY team didn't enter. Tsunami's U14 "A" team did, and they asked me to play. We still lost.

That USAHIL national championship was an awesome experience, but too bad there wasn't more competition.

What area are you located in? Because I know that with most tournaments, by that I mean regional events, there are only a handful of good teams, and the rest are ok. Some areas, like Philly, Boston, NJ, NY, etc just happen to have a good draw for the sport, so there are alot of really awesome teams. It is not where you are placed at these events, it is where you place you team in the event, because you sign up for it, they dont place you. Unless they have to combine divisions, or some other extenuating circumstance.

Trust me, I wasn't trying to be "a smart alec". I was just using your words. I've been involved with TORHS for a while now. I think they run a great national. To answer your question, I played on the RinkRat Pro team last year that won it. Certainly not because of me. But prior to that I played in the adult division. People put together "all star teams" to try and better their chance of winning. I brought a team to a national once just so the guys can see what real inline was all about. We didn't win but the TORHS experience was unforgetable. It's not always about winning. Trying is just as fun. I hope you some day get to a national, either TORHS or NARCH. It gives teams something to shoot for the next time around. Plus, you just have to see the little ones out there. These kids give a 100% and are just having a blast. Well, I guess that makes me a kid too. Sorry if I sounded rude. My apologies.

The competition is all at Narch, Torhs and AAU, in Women's or Girls Hockey
