I don't know where u got those scores from, but I talked to a few guys from breakaway over the weekend, and I know that not one player made the trip for breakaway and that only 4 could make it for the growl and apparently the league was trying to find as many players as they could get to at least send up and play. I know for sure that breakaway didn't go b/c I hung out with a few of there players saturday night, and they had said that they forfeit the game b/c they couldn't get enough guys b/c of mudcats having a tournament and other obligations for the players, so I have no clue where those scores came from.

Those scores are probably right because teams where sent up this weekend even if they werent the rostered players.

Goalies do it better with their eyes closed!!

Thank God Someone Was Nice Enough To Put Me On Their Team!

I'll try to clarify everyone's questions as best as possible, but it's late and I'm tired so forgive me if I get anything wrong.

I got the score for the Growl game because I was there. I got the Breakaway score from a member of the organization whom I spoke with today. Both scores may not be accurate but they're within a goal or two.

The Growl had 4 regularly and 2 non-regularly rostered players plus a goalie. I believe Breakaway was represented solely by non-regularly rostered players; some local players from Rochester and some Wings players.

On behalf of my son I appologize for being unable to make it up there....the conflict for us had nothing to do with lack of commitment ..something which was inferred in a private conversation to me, and which drove my tirade under a separate topic heading on this board. He has missed only one game during the entire season other than this one...and that only due to the league suspending him for the first game of the season. For a league official to question his commitment to playing in the league gives me serious pause as to the credibility of the official and consequently the league. We or he travels a minimum of 200 miles to make every home game and practice..which we have done faithfully all year..figuring $.35/mile..do the math. Away games vary from 150 miles to 220 miles return for us.

His obligation to the USA Inline National Junior Program tryouts and his commitment to being there were made long before the PIHA schedule came out. He made the team aware of this obligation well in advance.

    Worst Road Trip Ever

As excited as I was to make the trip up to buffalo it turn out to be one of the worst trips ever. I decided to fly up as I had committed to play in a local tourn with a few of my friends the night before. I took a 7am flight for the Noon game. When I landed I learned that my sticks had been left at the JFK airport (where I flew from). Fortunately there was a 10am flight and they delivered my sticks directly to the rink. So I get to the rink the find out that half the team couldnt make it. I figured I would at least get a nice workout in...but about 2 min into the game I was kicked in the back of the head by a skate (a total accident from what I am told). I felt kind of out of it for the whole game, but since I was the only goalie there I had no choice but to play. I flew home that night and went to the ER. After 5 hrs of waiting around it turned out I had a minor concussion. Fortunatly I will be fine in a few days and hopefully able to play next weekend. Anyways it is def one weekend I would quickly like to forget

    JK,

From what I hear you had a rough one. Keep up the hard work in net. You are an asset to our team and a great league person for making the trip.
