The Second Hockey Alberta In Line (HAIL) ?Summer Series? Tournament of the 2004 Season Taking Place Soon

The first of three locally hosted tournaments in the HAIL Summer Series took place May 7-9. The ?South? event was jointly hosted by the Calgary Rocky View Inline and Cochrane Inline leagues. A total of 22 teams in the U10 to U17 age group divisions participated which is a great showing for so early in the season. By all accounts, a good time was had by all as the HAIL tournament season got off and rolling. Special thanks to Rob Baustad with Rocky View and to Pete Campbell and Don Lamont in Cochrane for your efforts in ensuring that things ran smoothly. Well done guys!

The ?Central` HAIL Summer Series tournament will take place in Red Deer June 4-6. According to tournament coordinator Lori Irvine ([email protected]), 32 recreation and competitive/rep teams in the U8 to Adult group divisions have registered to play. Space is still available but will disappear shortly. Cost for the tournament is $200 and there is no additional costs for non-HAIL members. Note that HAIL has secured a special accommodation rate at the Red Deer Lodge.

Planning ahead? The third and final HAIL Summer Series tournament will take place in Sherwood Park June 18-20. For more information on the ?North? event contact Randy Kallechy ([email protected]).
