Tour Skates

It's nice to see a forum finally about the Tour situation! It's really Funny to read, everyone is waiting to hear from the person who has had the courage to purchase one of the new Tour skates!

Tour made a great set of skates, the 902 & 962! Then...someone at Tour...LOST THEIR MIND and you got the G-Series!! Ouch, they were TERRIBLE!!! I live for the 902 and 962 skate, but the G-Series...EERRGGHH!!

Now they have come out with these new ones that are supposed to fit like the 902/962 skates. I can only hope!
I tried all the G-Series and found them all to have problems!

G-60-no achilles support like in the 902/962. The boot and chassis had you on your heels, instead of your toes. The lace configuration also contributed to that feel!
G-80-better chassis, but about the same feel. The G80W had 9 eyelets instead of 10, hince that is a Fishbone configuration and 9 eyelets is not enough! It would never stay tight and I always had to over tighten them, causing some severe lace bite situations. One that I am still dealing with!
G-90-way way too stiff, would never break in, chassis rocked though! Sensor is AWESOME!!! Great Design!!

So now we are all waiting for that someone to buy the Hummer and let everyone else know if it really works!!

The new Tours have 9 eyelets and that is the first negative I see about the skate and the unknown, unproven Hummer just adds to the suspicion of this skate!

I am in real need of a new skate, but I cannot find one that I like and I have been looking now for 2 years!! My 902's and 962's are worn out! I skate in 3 Inline Leagues and play pick up as well, not counting Ice and they have held up well over the past 4+ years, but it's time for something new and I am almost to the point of buying the RedMax, just to see if they are any good! I have tried on the Mission D3's, but they have that weird Fitness skate lacing system and it just does not have a uniform, tight, hockey skate boot fit!

Hopefully one of you guys will buy a pair and let us know, before my patience runs out! ;-)

Straight Chassis...just as manueverable? That is a bit hard to swallow, especially on those BIG 80mm wheels!!

One thing about Tour though, if you call them during business hours, they will talk to you about their skates! They do return emails, but not always right away. Calling them is a lot easier! M-F between 8-5.

I have G-90's .................................................. ...............

BTW i think the redmax chassis isnt one piece. Personally if i buy any, it will be the beemers.

Thanks, I am so suspicious of anything Tour makes right now, but I need skates badly!

Not saying anything negative about the new tours..but try the new HiHo's if you want a great fitting and super comfortable skate...haven't heard one complaint on the fit....if you dont like the Dynasties..drop a set of Rink Rats on them....
