MLRH: Numbers
What's in the numbers? Well, by going off of stats and that's the only thing I have right now, Marple has this one easily except for one stat, Marple can't score on the power play. So apparently, to beat them, hit them. Play "Hack-a-Glad".
Through the playoffs, here are the numbers
Man advantage (PPG-for-PP chances)
Marple 0-for-10, Hartford 8-for-21 (.381)
Short handed (penalty kills-for-penalties)
Marple 7-for-13 (.538), Hartford 5-for-12 (.417)
Shooting Percentage (goals-for-shots)
Marple 49-for-209 (.234), Hartford 32-for-257 (.125)
Save Percentage (saves-for-shots)
Marple 137-for-166 (.825), Hartford 182-for-210 (.867)
I got bored when putting together the info for the championships games. Hope everyone who goes enjoys it and it'll be nice to see some faces I haven't seen for a while!

Re: MLRH: Numbers
I am Almost positive we had a few vs the Sting and I know we had three against Ottakringer. The Tying goal in game one
and two pp goals in game two.

Re: MLRH: Numbers
Being one to admit he's wrong (and in this case, I want to make sure everything is right), the Gladiators are 1-for-10 on the power play.
The scoresheets only show the Glads with two power-play chances against the Sting and no goals within the 1:30 of play after.
Against the Phants (ok, ok, Kringer), I missed the PPG that's obviously on the sheet and at the time made the score 7-6 Pachyderms in the first game. In the second game, it looks like consistency took over for Marple who recorded minor penalties at 6:00 of the first, second and third quarters. Having actually seen this three times this season (all in ice though), I figured it could happen again. However, the times of these may be off. If someone can verify that any of the Game 2 vs. Garden State goals by Marple were on the power play, please let me know!
Please let me know before Friday so I can make the changes to my sheets and get them printed.
Thanks all!
Jarrod.
So, change the .000 to .100

Re: MLRH: Numbers
The scoresheets were not always filled out correctly. When the 'keeper only puts halves down(1 and 2) instead of quarters(1,2,3 and 4) where the penalties are recorded it may have affected powerplay goals. There were many times the powerplay goals were also not marked and were figured out by comparing penalty times to goal times. And when the times of penalties were not recorded then the old standby of half way thru the period was used. Sorry the stats can't be more exact but that is something the league will address for next season. The only game I remember the Glads powerplay not being good was the last Firebird game, but I think it was only because they didn't need it to be. They turn it on when they need it.
