growl-vs-nike last night

Nike won 19-10, but as a fan there, honestly, and nothing against the growl, Nike could had won 25-0. Nike got a huge lead and then basically played around the final quarter and half, and let the score get higher than they wanted. They were mad on the bench that they let up so many goals. They dominated all night, there speed and passing were incredible, and they had some sick goals to go along with it. This looks like maybe the team to beat in the PIHA this season.

That team pound for pound (though they obviously share some players) would beat the Gladiators. Not to mention they were missing constantino, heenan, egan to name a few. Good luck to those guys.

Well, I don't think they would say they voluntarily toned it down the second half. They are competitors, it was their first chance to prove something to the league, and the fact they got a little sloppy in the second half is probably the reason they were upset on the bench. Every team does that. They made the corrections to eliminate the problem and that's how a good team handles that.

In a related matter, would someone be so kind as to take a few minutes tonight to post the result of the Breakaway/Lunatics game when they get home? It usually doesn't appear on the league site for a day or so and I'm interested.

Yep it looked like Breakaway figured all they had to do was show up.....surprise surprise...no respect lol. I think they must have believed the hype.

The minor team looked awesome though.
