New Rink Opened up in NE Pa.

The Ice box has just opened a new full size (ice size 200' x 90' floor)inline facility in Scranton Pa. called Ice Box 2. Full boards and sport court, adult open hockey on thursday nights from 8:45 - 10:30, youth hockey on Tuesdays I believe

It is located close to the junction of the Scranton Expressway and Providence Road exit (make a left at the bottom of the exit ramp, go two lights and make a right..facility on your left in the Sports Complex.

About 2 hours up the NE extension(476)depending on where you are in Philly.

D'oh - 4 years of inline collegiate hockey at Wilkes University, and NOW they put up an inline facility in the area.

Better late than never?.....it's a very nice facility, with a latest generation charcoal colored sport court, full boards and glass, and a 200' x 90' playing surface.

Be careful what you wish for. I heard there is one that is going to be done in the next 6-8 months.

I was gonna say, I know I heard rumor of something being built up by White Marsh with a completetion date of around November. There Was a rink over by the Edgewood/Bel Air area (nothing to write home about) but a rink none the less. I think they closed it down to hockey and made it a lax field instead. Those jerks. haha.

Yes, there is one going up in the White Marsh area, completion slated for November 04.
