    Peranis

I noticed the multiple posts on ePuck.com. Granted, ePuck is probably one of the best hockey stores out there. However, I have found that Peranis Hockey store is just as good. Their service is fast and friendly. They also have the BEST prices on items around....especially thier clearence items. For instance, they had brand new senior size, pro Brian's leg pads (about $900+) on sale for about $300 last month. They also had reactor 6 goalie stuff for like $100. Check out thier closeout deals before you shop elsewhere. You won't be disappointed. (www.peranis.com)

i've posted on peranis before and yes, they are the equal of epuck. i actually had them talk me out of a very expensive stick for my 8 year old in that it was basically overkill. they told me about one that would be perfect that was only $20 and they didn't even have it in. they are also the only place where i could find his helmet in the model/color/size he needed. thier clearance prices rule. i bought a set of ccm inlines from them, i don't remember the model but i think tacks 455, normally $250 or so, for $79. my only problems with them are that thier site is harder to navagate since they rebuilt it, and thier more geared towards ice so thier roller equipment is a bit lacking.

    Re: Peranis

Both ePuck and Peranis are excellent companies, and there are a few others as well (Kemps, Rupps, Royal Sports). We are blessed in having companies that actually CARE about their customers. Price is no concern, because you can't put a cost on superb service and knowledge. One company EVERYONE should stay away from is HockeyMonkey- I ordered a Christian Diamondlite shaft from them with a blade- they never called me to tell me the blade was not available, so they never shipped the shaft. When I called them inquiring about my order, they then told me the blade was N.A. and then they shipped the shaft. Once they sent the shipping receipt via e-mail, I noticed they didn't deduct the shipping charge for the blade. I sent them an e-mail and got no response. I then called 3 days later and the guy said just to check my statement when it came in and it would show they adjusted the shipping charge. LIE!!!! I checked my statement online and he never did it, so I sent another e-mail. Guess what?? NO REPLY. Another phone call and the guy was not friendly at all. SCREW HOCKEY MONKEY!!

Agreed, Peranis and epuck are great companies. A new one I ran across is concretepond.com. They're pretty new but they were really helpful when I ordered a pair of pants. They were actually out of the kind I originally wanted but gladly sent me a better pair at the same price. I got that call no less than 4 hours after I placed the order--very quick. It's nice to know their are still stores out there that value customers.

i'd like to think that boards like this are helping. if you received good or bad serive, it used to be the old "i'll tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends...." now, when i get terrible service, (ARE YOU LISTENING INLINESPORTS.COM?) or the person with hockeymonkey.com, i can tell 700 or so friends. same goes for good service and i hope the positive posts are steering sales towards epuck and peranis. i'll have to check out concretepond, i'm sure i'll have to buy something soon.

I totally agree! Hopefully this board will catapult the excellent companies into financial heaven, and DESTROY inlinesports.com and hockeymonkey.com and the others like it!
