The Inline Hockey Central North American Tour: "Nothing but Fun in 2001," is coming.

Inline Hockey Central will take to the road this spring and summer for the Inline Hockey Central North American Tour: "Nothing but Fun in 2001."

Editor Richard Graham is making plans for this huge trip, which will begin May 1 and end... well... when Richard gets tired of being on the road. That might be as late as September.

"I want to take this trip to check the pulse of inline hockey in the U.S. and Canada," Graham said. "I think the sport is much bigger than most people think, but that it also faces a crisis. Inline hockey manufacturers are laying off staff members; tournament organizers compete viciously instead of mutually cooperating in the best interest of the sport; and an atmosphere of entitlement has players thinking they deserve to get equipment and sponsorships without giving anything back."

Graham hopes that the Tour will show the world how big inline hockey is in North America, promote Inline Hockey Central and its Tour sponsors, and give IHC's subscribers a big bang for their buck.

"I also want to have some fun," Graham admits. "I have struggled for three years and three months to grow IHC, and it has definitely worn me down. It's time to meet some new people, see some new sights and take some time for myself to rekindle my passion for the sport."

Rink owners and tournament producers that would like Inline Hockey Central to stop in at their rink or report "live" on their tournaments can submit a request to Richard Graham, as the "Trip Calendar" is being created right now.

Tournament directors and rink owners have been sending me tons of requests to visit their events and facilities, and I'm getting excited about hitting the road on May 1.
