Best Hockey in USA

We're a bunch of irish lads planning on heading over to the states for the summer primarily to play hockey so we'd like to know where the best place to go is? A couple of us were in montreal last summer and the standard was .... disappointing.. so needless to say we're looking for a decent standard of play. Any recommendations welcome.

If you're looking for inline, you'll probably want to stick to either the Northeast (NY, NJ, PA), California, Missouri, or Michigan.

As you have noted...there is not much to be found in Montreal...there is not even a single dedicated year round inline facility there that I could find. As stated below..California, NE USA, Midwest (St. Louis, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit) or Florida, Texas, and possibly Georgia as well.......could be added to the lists.
