    Purefly + D1 chassis

    Hi everyone,

I've skated 3 years with my 2000 Proto VSI but now they are
falling apart so I need new skates. I have a few questions.
Does anyone know how much cost Purefly skates ? Is it
possible to buy them boots only without the holes of the
bladeholder? And where can I find D1 chassis?

Has anyone already tried to mount ice hockey boots on a
roller hockey chassis? I mean does the holes of the
    bladeholder weaken the outsole?

I'd like to make this custom cause I don't really like the
lacing system on the new D1 and D1c skates. Also the Purefly
don't have the indy foam stuff on the ankle.

    Thanks,

Have you ever looked at Quickchange skates. They are great skates and easy to rotate your wheels and change from indoor to outdoor in minutes.http://www.quickchangeskate.com/

I have the purefly boot with an '01 generator chassis on them, best skates I have EVER used, hands down.

It's really common to mount alternative chassis on ice skates, and if done well is not a problem. Most players who have played for a long time and tried many skates in both ice and inline, develop a favorite boot and chassis, and connect them in combination.

The extra holes do not seem to matter except if you perspire a lot, the perspiration may leak out these extra holes and make your wheels slip on occasion, as well as cause your bearings to deteriorate prematurely. You might want to plug the old holes with some silicon or epoxy.
