    Rink Rat Wheels Part 93

In the long debate over who makes the best wheel, I felt I needed to try some rink rats. I got a demo set from a vendor that I use frequently, and I must say, when I first felt the wheel, it seemed a bit odd, even waxy. Upon hopping out on the court, I must say, I am now a believer. The wheels are exceptional, a perfect combination of grip and speed. Gotta hand it to Mike and the Rink Rat boys, I think they have a winner.

On a side note, I managed to lose 2 of the wheels... and had to run 2 dynasties in the mix.
    Yes. I am an idiot.

I have to agree with you. They are a great wheel, but they just don't hold up for me. I am 6'4" and 215lbs and I split them like they are the cheap $50 wheels. I am lucky to get 3 weeks out of them.

Which wheels are you using? Hornet, Hotshot, X or XX? Just wondering you might be on the wrong wheel for your height and weight.

Can someone please tell me where you can buy these wheels?

The only shop I have ever seen them in is Johnny Mac's in St. Louis and Get-Inline Hockey at US Blades in Detroit.

I think you can go to www.RinkRat.com and enter your zip code and it should give you locations of near by stores. If that don't work I would try to contact Mike Hunt and he should be able to help you.

Yeah and a buddy of mine told me that Torhs is selling them at their tournaments now for ONLY $80 a set. He wasn't sure what version they were to, so the could be the mid priced ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the hornets for smaller, lighter players?

Along those lines......I was at Marple Sports Arena(home of the Gladiators and run by CJ Yoder as GM now) and they are no longer stocking the RR wheels..........what's that all about?
