Garden State Ottakringer vs Hartford Thunder - Being directly involves with this one ill leave it for the masses.
New Jersey Bullets vs Philadelphia Sting - Bullets won the first meeting this season by a 5-4 score in Overtime. I expect the Sting to throw all their chips on the table and try to steal the 2 points back in North Jersey. Prediction 6 - 5 Sting.
Pottstown Firebirds vs Somerset Wolves - The Birds will be looking to avenge their loss to Marple and the Wolves will be doing the same after week 3. Could go either way. Since i gotta pick im gonna go with the Home Rink Advantage. 8 - 7 Birds
Steel City Snipers vs Boston Storm - Im not sure if the Boston roster will be in full-effect, but if they are, look for the Storm to spoil Pitts home opener by 4.

No offense to anyone out there with the picks, just looking toi get other peoples opinions on what theyve seen thus far. Please let me know if you disagree. Thanks.

I'll bite.....
Bullets over the Sting in another nail-biter.
GS over Hartford in a much anticipated rematch of last year..should be a close one, but at home, GS should have a full squad.
Wolves come back with a win over the birds in OT.
And for our game against Pitt....I'll be like Bill and leave this one to the rest of you....

Hartford over GS 8-5; Hartford has possibly the best team in the league this year and time will show that.
Wolves over Pottstown 10-7; Pottstown is getting more credit then they deserve early because of the win over Marple in the preseason.
Storm over Snipers 9-4; Storm are just too deep on offense and defensive even if the whole team doesn't show.
Bullets over Philly 8-4; Bullets seems to get no respect around the league but if they could pull off a second win vs philly that may change.

ok, against better judgement......
I'm a big fan of momentum and believe that a team has to "learn how to win." I think the Bullets did last week. Bullets by 3 at home.
As long as the Storm don't get road flu, I think the Snipers will have a long night. Not saying they can't do it, just that it will be really hard to overcome what the Storm having going right now.
Wolves - Birds This is a toughy and not just because I have friends on each squad. For the Birds they have to get it straight. Marple is such an ugly way to have to open a season. A pissed Marple is even worse... Probably a bigger game for the Wolves. Lots of folks are thinking the Wolves are going to be the Beast in the East this season. Goodness knows they have the talent. Sorry NLane, Wolves by 2.
Thunder - 'Phants (I did my best to get that as the GameDay headline btwThis one should rock. Dan brought the whole squad last week and it seems Hartford doesn't have to worry about road flu. Koz should have the entire group. And both teams are pissed and really want this one. I'm not going to make a call on this one because I'm going to be shooting this game from the box. Skates on the toes really hurt

I think the Firebirds have come a long way, but i don't think this one will be a nail biter....13-8 Wolves
The rematch of last year....there some serious rematching and paybacks going on here, thunder is a "sick" hitting team...9-8 OT Thunder
Bullets vs. Sting....If there's a game to go to, this is it, sting are coming back with a serious vengence, but if the bullets goalie is up to the show this will be another close one....4-3 bullets
Storm vs. Snipers....Sorry snipes good team, but the storm is class act this year, 12-2 storm

Well I gotta tell ya, I wish these games were televised so I can tape them, and watch them after my 4 hr ride home. No question our game vs GS will be a dandy. Our teams are so similar and evenly matched that it sometimes comes down to just 1 simple turnover that can cost either team the game. Last seasons playoff game speaks for itself. It shouldn?t matter how far the drive is for this one, it will be well worth the trip. When these 2 teams line up, it's always Roller Hockey at it's best.
I wish we could watch Bullets vs. Sting highlights on the Jumbo-Tron at half time. I Guess were not quite there yet, but it would be nice. That will also be well worth the price of admission.

Since ill be resting the body this weekend ill pull the wallet out to play...
Not many people are saying this but I think the Sting are going to win...8-4
In the Snipers game everybody is picking the Storm but with odd scores, remember who is in net there, Storm 13-2.
With some of the injuries I think Ottakringer is in some trouble, sorry Koz you know I love u but Hartford 9-7
Finally I have to go with Trohos team and say Wolves 8-5
As for next week I cant freekin wait....
Its just not fun unless you stand in front of it!

OK here goes.... In the big game of the week Thunder @ Ottakringer... this is a tough one to call, depending on who the phants have in their line-up. If they don't have a full roster with all their weapons against the Thunder I see Johnny Pinheiro having a big game and the Thunder taking the win.
Wolves @ Firebirds... another tough one with both team coming off disappointing last games but I'm going to go against the grain and take the Firebirds by 2 in this one.
Sting @ Bullets... even though all the hype is on the Thunder- Ottakringer game, I think this game might end up being the game of the week when it's all said and done. This ones going down to the wire just like their last meeting but I'm going with the Sting, this time they hold on to their one goal lead late in the game.
Storm @ Snipers... I really don't want to say much about this game but I think it's going to be alot closer than people think.

The schedule was definitely not in your favor...playing Marple, Thunder and the Storm in the first 4 games. I'm sure you'll find a way to turn it around.
