    Pro or Not

I know this topic has been up many times before, but I thought we could revive it....So in most sports to be considered a "pro" you have to be paid...Besides winning prize money at TORHS(that you have to pay to enter to play anyway, so you give like half back to them) And there havent been any true paid leagues since RHI(which if you ask most RHI players they didnt know they were being paid)How can we consider a team having to pay to play in a tourny or league a "pro" team?...Unless you want to say "the best players" are the pro players. But this dosent hold up either because then it becomes a matter of who thinks they are best to be a pro...So who is with me in saying there isent any true "pro" inline hockey? Maybe when the NHL moves to Europe some regions will be so hockey straved they will pay inline players, till then lets say they are the BEST Amatures out there.

Most "factory" teams pick up the tab for their players to play. Tournament entry fees, airline tickets, hotel rooms, meals/entertainment. And any prize money won, goes to the players. I think that is as close to "pro" as there is out there. Potential income verses zero expenses, sounds good to me.

While we haven't paid our players hundreds of dollars, they have no paid any money and they were given equipment and at the end of the year a small check.
