Is this the same place TORHS had their Nationals at in 2002?

Re: TORHS , USARS, AAU, and I'm p.o.'d...

    What "USA Champioships?" (sic)

    USARS/AAU???

    USAHIL???

    SixPacUSA???

    Youth??? Adult???

Ya need to be a little more definitive than just "the USA Champioships," whatever that is...

Please forgive my sarcasm, I just get angry when anybody refers to one of the myriad of national tournament organizations as "the" anything...

Incidentally, if only to get controversy started, USA Roller Sports (USARS), who has farmed out ("partnered"??? yeah, right...) their "nationals" to piggyback on AAU, who I wouldn't let run my wheelbarrow, let alone a "national championship" event, can just bite me, until they get up enough guts to even run their own show, where do they get off continuing to refer to themselves sanctimoniously as the NGB of our sport.

Hey, whoever occupies the current form of that revolving door-of-an-office as this month's head dude over at USARS, you know where I am, please tell me one good reason why I should even consider supporting your program...and holding players who might like to play for your version of the national team hostage with their participation is not a good reason; in fact, it's a great reason not to support you...

    lemme know...

    Danny G,

You are the BIGGEST ASS on the message board, it's free country and we have the right to pick and choose what tournaments or organizations we want to participate in or with. Personally I think USA Hockey Inline sucks, been there and done that and it doesn't even come close to the others, but I don't go out and publicly cut on USAhockey Inline. You need to grow up and start acting like an adult, instead of a horses ass. All the tournament are good for hockey, it allows people to pick and choose what they like and don't like, it gives us options, that is what makes this country great.
So quit trying to shove USAHockey Inline and $25.00 here and $25.00 there down everyones throat. I can't believe that they let such a negative person run the hockey program.

    Jeff

Re: TORHS , USARS, AAU, and I'm p.o.'d...

Well I'm afraid it's just as confusing back east too with regionals for AAU and USARS popping up all over the place......if you think USA Hockey run's a poor show then obviously you are free to pick and choose as well. However their programs do seem to be more clear cut, and although I cannot speak for their tournaments either for or against, Everything I have seen from their National Junior Program was done as well as the format would allow.

Danny is a very strong proponent of having a valid National Governing body for inline hockey, and feels that USA Inline is more qualified than any of the others to do this.........for a whole variety of reasons, not just quality of tournaments or who does or does not participate in them.

If you feel that another organization is more qualified based on your experiences, I am sure Mr. G would be happy to debate the issue rationally.......and not even stoop to calling names.......

His point was simply that having a TORHS program in a time conflict with one organization who decides to hold their version of "the Nationals" at the same time, is almost unavoidable....given the number of "Nationals" which are held every year.........

To give validity to these "Nationals" I'm sure Danny feels it would be nice to have one legitimate governing body recognized throughout the sport to run these, an organization not connected with any "for profit" tournament series. Given the organizational history for USA Hockey it makes good sense in a lot of ways to look to them for leadership in this area, as they are not distracted by running 50 other events like AAU nor do they have their true foundations in figure skating, speed skating and "round stick" hockey played on quads.

Before you allow your fingers to attack the keyboard with such gusto, you might engage your brain a little and realize some people also have a fair body of experience in these matters and might even bear listening to.

    regarding reactionary response...

Jeff, good buddy...how 'bout you go to the profile section here and give us a little background info on yourself...as I said in my email reply to you, I appreciate your comments, but I think you missed my point:

USARS doesn't even run their own regional/national event series, and they have the gall to claim NGB status...

In making this point, I acknowlege to all that I was waaay overboard on my usual negativity scale, but I still stand on that platform...with all due respect, why can't USARS even keep a CEO longer than (seemingly) three months...this is one ill organization, and the symptoms of their disease are becoming more and more numerous: I state this as a fact, and I am not trying to namecall in doing so...

Jeff, frankly, you don't know me from Adam..I would think that if we met, I might be your best friend (at least, if we were withing thirty years the same age...)You need to lighten up, dude...

Not really. We just quit skating their programs but my feelings haven't changed. You certainly are a bitter somebody. How about making it better instead of just writing on a message board? Tell us what you're doing to better the sport? Hope this wasn't "feeding trolls" again- already doubled my sessions!
