An ousiders view...NCRHA vs CRHA
I,m sorry to have to take this point of view - for all of you who no doubt passionately believe in the correctness of your actions, but to an outsider - all this looks like a very pedantic pi$$ing contest.
With all of you being hockey players at root, it strikes me that you ended the last season still all "amped" up, with noone left to do battle with. So you decided to battle each other.
There will always be room for improvement within any system and normally the mechanisms are in place to effect these changes from within. Differing philosophies will continue to be part of your battles no matter what happens.
The most crucial question in all of this is: Is dividing college inline hockey's administrative organization the best thing for the sport - no matter how passionately you as directors feel the need for change? Or is this really a personal ego battle between directors - who have then imposed their will upon the players with the justification that "in the long run we know better than they do what is best for the sport"?
Two years from now - some of you within NCRHA may feel that the organization is not following it's self described guidelines and so you really feel the need to start fresh..... now you will have the CNCRHA (Comprehensive National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association).....etc. etc. until there is no space left for titles.
Suck in the pride and figure out how to do it as one group - look upon it as a learning curve.......and adapt some of the fresh ideas within the old organization .......would that be too dificult?
