As I read that post I could hardly believe what I was reading. I too find it sick, arrogant, criminal, appalling, horrendous, etc... What's even almost worse is his second post defending the first post! Truly amazing that someone in his position would have those thoughts but to then post them? Incredible!!! One can only hope he's in some way held accountable for this.

two points on the British hockey player...

    1. Let us separate the behavior from the individual, and perhaps assume that Mr. Pickles made a mistake, and then another mistake in trying to justify the first, and that he is really not an idiot...I don't know the guy...

    however:

    2. I gotta tell everybody, our Polar Bears Girls' 17's had the most enjoyable experience this past week with one young Ms. Robyn Quinn, from Kent, England...Here, folks, is a 13 year old young lady, willing to travel across the ocean to play with a team sight-unseen. She had no way of knowing if she could even keep up with the U.S. girls, and was probably scared out of her wits at the outset, but here she was, ready to have a go at it. Robyn was an absolute delight to coach and play with. She contributed at every point in every game, and was a major part of the Polar Bears' successes at this, their first USA Hockey Inline nationals.

If Robyn Quinn (#82 in your game program!) is an example of British inline hockey, then, along with her parents, Polly and John, "British Roller Skater Hockey" has a tremendous future indeed!

We only hope that we get to repeat this experience with Robyn and some point in the near future!

-on behalf of Ashley, "Stacey" (Roxann), Caitlin, Amber, Megan, Arlene, and Stephanie...

Re: two points on the British hockey player...

Just out of curiousity Danny, could you tell if here stlye of play was much different from American hockey players? This could just be coincidence but twice in my lifetime I have played with a British player and both guys had the best stickhandling skills compared to any of my teammates or myself, just truly amazing. But it sounded like she was a delight for your team.
