Am I mistaken or was there definitely some conflicting reports between what you reported about the Czech fans and what the FIRS reported? (I definitely would take your report as accurate)

On another matter - how do you feel the teams compare betwen FIRS and IIHF competitions? Have you had the chance to watch both? I noticed it was a completely different team for Czecholsovakia(like the USA) in the IIHF competition.

<font color=black>Given that no two people see the same event in the same light or place the same interpretation upon those events, (for example consider both the UK & USA trial by jury system as an analogy) then it is hardly surprising that some differences of interpretation and description will be evident!</font color=black>

<font color=black>I only attended the FIRS event in Písek and am therefore only able to comment upon that event.

As for your question on comparisons between teams, this is getting off topic which started as TEAM USA thanks you!!, any contribution I have will be more appropriate to the POLITICS plague our sport thread currently in progress elsewhere on this bulletin board.

While I do appreciate the diplomacy in your reply - it was evident from your report that the Czech fans appeared to have not reacted too well to the overtime victory by Team USA which was at odds with the official version.

Additionally in the official version there was light reference to the value of "not running up the score" without naming any particular team - as a part of the discussion on how team placements were determined for playoff positions. It was became obvious that the remark was pointed - but only in lieu of your earlier description of Team Czechoslovakia's performance against Team Greece and others.

I just wanted to point out that the contrast was dramatic between your report and that of the FIRS official.
