IN DESPERATE NEED OF GOALIE GEAR!

I currently am in serious need of my own goalie gear. My mom is a single parent who can't afford to buy me it (or the most expensive stuff) so I was figuring I could post here and see if any of you can help me out. You can check my profile for more about me or e-mail me for my life-story so I can explain why I can't afford it. I'm 16, about 5'9, and would wear a Sr. size Med-Large...I'm a goalie and since gear is so expensive, I'll take anything I can come by. Please let me know if you can help me out/donate anything/sell me something cheap! Not looking for brand new unless you are sure you don't want it...and hopefully not too worn, either...thanks a ton, guys!

What type of goalie gear are you looking for? Meaning, street goalie gear or indoor (puck) gear?

What is the max you are wanting to spend?

I'm looking for inline (puck) gear. And I really don't have a price range I can give you...just CHEAP is the key as money is my biggest issue...Thanks!

What kind of level of player are you? Rec league? Intermiedate? Elite? If I know that I could maybe help you find some gear at an affordable price.

I play in 2 house leagues at 2 diff. locations...both of which are 17u...Rec stuff wouldn't help me much, intermediate (I'll be honest) I've never heard anything about...The pads I generally use are just the house stuff (I believe they were Louisville TPS "Dominik Hasek" Models or something like that...size 34") Then the blocker was made by Tour and the glove by iTech. And then they had an assortment of sticks...I'm a normal goalie (catch hand is the left)...Thanks for any info/let me know if you need more.

What about Tour goalie pads? They are made for inline and are fairly inexpensive, well at least for goalie pads they are.

Yeah...I've looked into Tour...but I guess I should explain I'm poorer than poor...So while $180 looks cheap (and is...because I'd gladly take the pads)...I still can't afford it.

Do you have any play-it-again's around your house?

Hey don't worry you aren't the only one who's poor, I had to cut the grass just so I could get $5 for drop-in! Which turned out to be cancelled.

Yeah...I know what you mean...just to be able to play I'm stuck doing my grandma's yardwork for the summer (She still owns land, so it's like a 3 day job just to do it once...and I'm out there every 2 weeks!) Damn summer heat...

Yeah...I've tried hitting those up, too, but they don't carry much goalie gear (or if they do, it's all brand new and about $500 a set). The only real way I've seen people get their pads (well...the way I am praying I can get pads) is that someone just "donates" their old pair...unfortunately, they probably will give them to someone they know before the give them to someone over the internet...but a guy can dream, can't he?

True. My only suggestion is to started looking for rich goalies in Az. who will give you their old pads;-)

Haha...I wonder if the Phoenix Coyotes would mind a phone call from a 16 year old asking for a pair of Burke's, Bierk's, or Boucher's goalie pads...hmm...interesting!
