Hi Death,

Watcha talkin' about? If you've got information to share, please do so. Otherwise, the bluebird of happiness might "rain" on your parade

World Arena Rugby (7 per side). Fast, hard hitting, played in the summer, inside. All the things professional roller hockey wants and needs. But WAR has a promoter with money. Check it out at
www.worldarenarugby.com

By the way, the promoter is a Phila guy.

Re: W A R

Just the other day while watching an Arena Football game, I wondered if arena rugby would work. I didn't even know there was a league.

They might need to start promoting things more. I live in St. Louis and didn't even know that St. Louis has a team.

They might want to put some info about when they will play on the site. I couldn't find anything that even indicates what time of year they play.

As far as comparing it to roller hockey, they are entirely different other than the size of the playing surface. Roller hockey has cut back on the number of players to increase speed. Having less players also decreases the number of hits. You can't have both. I can't believe there is much open running in arena rugby when you have 14 players on a surface the size of a hockey rink. If the players are constantly getting hit, the game slows down.

It remains to be seen if people will support arena rugby. Obviously, outdoor rugby doesn't have very much support in America.

Isn't this a professional inline hockey page? Just wondering, all this rugby talk has me checking to make sure I bookmarked the right page.
