Speedy recovery to Jim, hope it heals properly.
Good luck for the rest of your season Ants!
Good day avid roller hockey players,
I'd like to know if any of you know what is going on with MLRH?
Will there be a trournament in November?
When will tryouts starts for the summer 2009 season?...
"It was shortly after that they quit listing the players by name on their website."
Probably so that the IRS could not tax them on their winnings, smart move!
Hi Brian,
I played 2 years in Edison, NJ. Any idea who could be there that I know from the old MLRH years?
You can PM me with the info, thanks so much!
Marty
"I just want to play some freaking hockey here."
Note that the gentleman wrote hockey not roller hockey... (nuance)
You should play in the MLRH.
Its the only league that resemble most how hockey should be played.
Some do, some don't!
In this case, lets approach any criminal organisation that wants to launder money.
I know for a fact that in the province of Quebec, the Hells Angels have been sponsoring the LNAH for the past 5-6...
I wish!
For some companies, 100K is like 100.00$ for us little people.
And its all tax deductible for them anyway!
We need sponsors for a pro league.
Here is what I was thinking, have 2 conferences and 4 divisions in each (8 total).
The 2 main sponsors (at least 100K each) would see their name as a conference...
Maybe the word pro isnt the best word but im sure everyone understands exactley how the league works.
I agree, never use pro and PIHA together ever again.
As for understanding how the league...
In a PIHA structured league, where the players pay to play (and usually they all pay the same amount to play, roughly 300-400$)
That is why (in my opinion) PIHA was never pro, never will be and...
That's too bad! They should have done an awesome job for the fondation of Professional ROLLER Hockey League instead.
Anyhow, I don't consider PIHA professional, why? We don't get paid!
But it is...
When I played MLRH, we would give away 6-7 t-shirts to the kids during our games.
After the games kids and their familly (but most of the time only the kids) would come in the dressing room, meet...
I totally agree with you BFoster.
I would love to attend a pro camp, full contact and fighting with any pro or semi-pro ice player.
It would be awesome!
I am thinking more like every player can fight twice in a game.
On the 2nd occasion, you get a 5 major for fighting a 10 misc. and a game misc. for 2nd fight of the game.
No suspension!
What Roller Hockey needs in North America is EXPOSURE!
Look at what is hot at the present time on TV/Cable/Web/Satellite, it is things like WWE, UFC, etc...
People want action and lets be...
This is all very nice but like the post subject is suggesting, this is for players point of view, so why ownsers and managers are still writing in here?
Anyway, bye-bye PIHA, welcome AiHL. Time...
I remember when I played MLRH all our games needed to be taped (league rule).
I was wondering if any of you would know who would have those tapes or where I can get copies.
I am looking for...
And that my friend should be his downfall, he needs to realise that he's dealing with adults here not kids. You guys all have full time jobs, you give him enought money each year to run this league...
Wow! So this is what I take from this post:
The league that you guys play and pay to play in decided to organized an International Event (without any International Players), treated these players...
Thank you Mr. Hill.
Is fair to say that CIHA is not quite as organised as NIHA?
In the United States FIRS is represnted by USARS (United States of America Roller Sports) and IIHF is represented by USA Hockey.
Does these 2 organizations compete with each other, I mean do they...
One change would help, change the name of the league to SIHA (Senior Inline Hockey Association).
Because Professional indicate a status that honeslty is not what the league is about and it shows...
