Lol, sucks for the goalies in that league
This is a very interesting blog that contains stories from America's minor leagues including a few stories from RHI.

Probably not, but the fact that inline skates are becoming more visible and is seen as cool again might mean that non-hipsters will take up inline skating. The decline of the inline skate in general...
An article from Slate discusses the apparent return of rollerblades among New Yorkers.

Has anyone...
According to the MLRH website the Bullfrogs are returning to their league. Does anyone have more information on this? Are the Silver's involved or did someone else or the league purchase rights to...
I agree, I have always liked this idea. PBH had a good idea playing outdoors but i believe sticking to the accepted rules and format of Inline Hockey (with checking of course) is the best way to go...
Here is a link to a video showing the first RHI game ever between team USA and team Canada at the Great Western Forum.

Wow, gotta love the shinguards lol.
I thought i would share a couple of videos I found on Youtube showing clips from what I believe was an RHI european exhibition game between Team Europe and Team America from 1996.
(part 1)...
The coastal division was originally going to be the East Coast division as it was made up of East Coast teams. Then Anaheim was added and it was placed in that division hence it was renamed the...
All this talk of the small rink game reminded me of that Speed Hockey concept that never took off a few years ago so I decided to take a look at their website just out of curiosity and see if they...
Lots of multimedia, video highlights from recent games, photos from every game and team.
While NARCH has succeeded without hitting, its success is only as a tournament which players pay to play in, not as a spectator sport which people pay to watch. MLRH on the other hand is trying to...
the league dosnt sound any better or worse then PIHA or AIHL at this point, I guess we just have to wait and see what comes of it. I dont recall there being any powerful brands or marketing in the...
The equipment has definelty changed a lot, yeah I remember a lot of the players painted their sticks red and didnt use tape. I have to say though I always thought the uniforms back in the RHI day to...
What would have been the purpose of using coke syrup on the floor?
Actually its not so far off, a few NHL players already play in the Inline Hockey world championships. they also regularly play in Ice Hockey world championships etc.
The major tournaments while successful are not an indicator for how well Inline would do as a spectator sport. NARCH and these other tournaments make no money by selling tickets, merchandise etc....
Thats exactly what I had in mind. basically it would be a game to showcase the Inline Hockey backgrounds of many NHL players. The game would be 4 on 4 no icing and no offsides and no-checking, since...
I have an idea for a televised event that might work well to promote the sport. I remember a while back on these boards someone came up with a list of current NHL players (both on NHL teams and those...
Richard, I am curious if you know whether or not any of RHI's former owners, founders or administrators have remained involved in the game of Roller Hockey and if so in what capacity?
You are missing the point of this thread. I agree that there is no "pro" inline league where players get paid and its broadcast on TV. PIHA is not a pro league by any meaning of the word. The point...
Yes inline hockey probably will never be a huge sport but i think it can be a successful niche sport. Lacrosse isnt a huge sport in the US but in certain markets it has done well professionally. in...
I do belive RHI had a viable product, I dont believe the problem had aything to do with the product it self but more to do with the ownership and the league. When marketed we saw that people were...
