I liked the D1 setup, it seemed like the games were alot closer than usual

There are atleast 5 - 10 D2 teams that should move up. Neumann gets the attention because they have been more successful and organized than the other teams in the past 3 - 5 years.

Yea i agree, not trying to "throw stones" just listing some teams that have the talent to be top D1 teams.

It doesn't matter that they have won titles. What matters is that they could be very competitive in D1. Don't tell me that those teams wouldn't be great D1 teams because they would.

Then they would have a tough year. Then go back to D2. And maybe if they really lose all their players, they can somehow petition to the league that 7 of their top 9 scorers or whatever have...

Neumann, Brockport, WCU, Tampa, Rowan to name a few. There are probably about 10 D2 teams that would have made D1 nationals and kicked out some of the weaker D1 teams.

Records can be very deceiving. Hofstra got an alternate bid, but they played a really tough schedule, and had alot of 1-goal games with top teams in the ECRHA.

Exactly. The best should be playing D1 simple as that. It reflects MUCH better on the entire league.

If those teams don't want to get "screwed" out of nationals, then maybe they should go to D1, where they probably have a better chance of making it to the show. They would also be playing much more...

Its a bummer that more of the solid D2 teams cant play D1. Out of the 24 D1 that are going to get bids, there are only about 10-12 teams that could legitimately make it deep into nationals.
