I was glad to see the SECRHL was well represented. Great job UCF! It's unfortunate that FAU were missing some guys, because they could definitely have upset a top team and been very competitive.
Rowan has proved its one of the top teams in the nation, D2 or not.
I agree to some extent, play hard and control the puck. But to score 22 goals, you have to be trying to score every time you get the puck. Don't show the team up by just sitting behind your net, but...
Its a combination of $, our ability to compete, and the amount of school being missed. We play the regular season to judge where we are at. If we had felt that we would have been competitive at...
There are atleast 5 - 10 D2 teams that should move up. Neumann gets the attention because they have been more successful and organized than the other teams in the past 3 - 5 years.
lol you are ridiculous. Just admit Neumann enjoys playing weaker teams
then why were they D2?
From the SECRHL
1a.) UCF: Can be a very streaky team, but when they are on their game they can be a top team. Connor Cafferty and goaltender Dan Moon are the cornerstones of this team, but they...
The UC Irvine game against Stony Brook was so epic. Though I though Tasch was a more valuable player than Middleton at nationals.
Yea i agree, not trying to "throw stones" just listing some teams that have the talent to be top D1 teams.
It doesn't matter that they have won titles. What matters is that they could be very competitive in D1. Don't tell me that those teams wouldn't be great D1 teams because they would.
Then they would have a tough year. Then go back to D2. And maybe if they really lose all their players, they can somehow petition to the league that 7 of their top 9 scorers or whatever have...
Neumann, Brockport, WCU, Tampa, Rowan to name a few. There are probably about 10 D2 teams that would have made D1 nationals and kicked out some of the weaker D1 teams.
I wholeheartedly support this. Or something like BEEZERAL said. There needs to be something done for sure.
Records can be very deceiving. Hofstra got an alternate bid, but they played a really tough schedule, and had alot of 1-goal games with top teams in the ECRHA.
Yea they seemed to get into it with everyone they play.
In my opinion, you guys are a better team than KSU. Unfortunately, you also appear to be a bit streakier. I'm sure you guys will get a bid in the future if you keep your core. Just make sure you guys...
I could only do it from what I've seen from my region, so for the SECRHL I'd say:
Connor Cafferty
Michael Thiefault
Jeff Kotcher
Greg Boyd
Clark Colismo (G)
Exactly. The best should be playing D1 simple as that. It reflects MUCH better on the entire league.
$
Atleast that's my guess.
If those teams don't want to get "screwed" out of nationals, then maybe they should go to D1, where they probably have a better chance of making it to the show. They would also be playing much more...
Its a bummer that more of the solid D2 teams cant play D1. Out of the 24 D1 that are going to get bids, there are only about 10-12 teams that could legitimately make it deep into nationals.
If...
