  1. Re: Pat Cannone Advances to Frozen Four Championship

The reason no one at that level (NHL, NCAA) brings up inline is that it did not have as much of an impact on their development as we would like to think. They are two separate sports with differing...

    Re: Knee Injury - Advice

Take your time coming back..make sure you stay with the rehab until your PT clears you for activity. Too often people begin playing their sport because they become anxious or bored and the injury...

Re: University of California - Irvine

Is any one else bothered by the fact that Mr. Deskins has fairly extensive professional hockey experience yet is participating in an amateur status collegiate event? Admittedly ice hockey and roller...

    Re: speed - ice hockey

    Alvare,

For the most part I think we are on the same page. It’s not so much as I would dissuade someone under a certain age from lifting weights as I would need to be assured they possessed the...

    Re: speed - ice hockey

Alvare, you’re absolutely correct an athlete doesn’t necessarily need to lift weights to become stronger or faster. If said athlete can produce more force in the same amount of time they will...

    Re: speed - ice hockey

A training schedule is dependant on many different factors. Primarily they consist of:

Get stronger, everywhere. I?m going to assume that you?re not nearly strong enough. I train for a living and can honestly say that not 1 athlete I?ve had has been as strong as they should have been...

Re: Ncrha / Ncaa Eligibility Question

It’s amazing how often the individuals who disagree with an NCRHA policy extol the injustices of that policy on a public message board. Then in an effort to justify their stance, instead of using...

    Re: Off Season Training

The investment of time, effort, money and emotion we, or at least my self and many of my teammates, put into the competitive NCRHA season is and has been immense. Why would it be foolish to attempt...

    Re: Off Season Training

    I forgot something:

If you have a car or truck, put it in neutral get behind it and push it....it builds tremendous leg drive. Keeps your hips down and extend the arms dont "hang on".

    Re: Off Season Training

I have a little experience with this. I train athletes, so here’s what I do and by I, I mean they:

    1) Don’t play hockey. 1 time a week for about 1 hour is fine but no more. If your very unskilled...

    Re: D1 Bids (Official)

It's my understanding that the old NCRHA board was shut down because "adults" continually used that board as a forum to "flame" and disparage teams, players and league officials. It was not closed...

Re: Divisioning - Lindenwood - Survey

Why is it a fairly large portion of those who post on this board feel that Lindenwood should just be given the D1 national championship?

Lindenwood has proven that they are the class of the...
