Re: CRHL staff on a power trip

I can only guess here... But I believe it was just that a rule is a rule, and it needs to be enforced. If CRHL starts selectively ignoring rules (just because it happens in a Final Four game, for...

Re: CRHL staff on a power trip

This could certainly be looked at as a "spirit of the rules" kinda thing. But at the same time, the rule is there and needs to be enforced. There is a lot less gray area in whether or not jerseys...

Re: CRHL staff on a power trip

The jersey issue (as in, all guys have to have matching jerseys) was covered in the captains' meeting on Wednesday night. I agree that the most unfortunate part of all this is that it wasn't caught...

Re: CRHL staff on a power trip

Well, I was at the tourney, and I was kinda bouncing back and forth between the two Final Four games, so I missed at least some of the jersey switching stuff. Here is what I *do* know...

Re: Two NCTs: Compare and Contrast

No, I was saying Lindenwood was the best team. No one would try to argue someone else (like MSU, PU, whoever) was better and didn't win. :)

"At JMU we received a whopping $1754 this season towards our Roller Hockey season. It's simply unreasonable to ask a school with 35 sports clubs to build a facility costing no less than half a...

    Two NCTs: Compare and Contrast

I believe that I'm one of three people that were at both CRHL NCTs this season, the other two being Gary Del Vecchio (USAHIL) and Eric Habert (CRHL Development). I figured I'd toss out a few...

No problem, can't wait to get the rest put online. I think a trip to MSU's computer/video editing lab is in my future. ;)

For those of you that are interested, I put up the first batch of videos from NCT Premier. For those who aren't aware, Microsoft Movie Maker is a less than fabulous piece of software. And since I...

    Re: Championship Game

It's true that the CRHL Premier program was driven by the needs of the MCRHL teams that are currently playing in it. MCRHL teams have long been a very organized group, which is one reason I believe...

    Re: So in summary . . .

Just figured I'd toss out that for the record that while MSU gave us $3000 this year to pick up some new jerseys and pants for both our teams, that's the first monetary support the school has ever...

    Re: stop crying

Of course it's up to both teams to compete. But NARCh has a rule that you can't just sit behind the net when you're winning. Otherwise, seeing as puck control is the key to victory, I'd imagine the...

    Re: So in summary . . .

Yes, the final game sucked (in a lot of people's opinion) and LU was blowing out a lot of teams all season. They did have some close games, though.

Regarding the NCT specifically, a few things......

    Re: Championship Game

Yes, this year's NCT for Premier was a bit goofy with only six teams. But it's likely that next season there will be more divisions and more teams. This was a transition season, everyone knew that...

I love the username, Steve! I'd have thought you'd enjoy facing about 70 shots in a game. It'd keep ya active, for sure.

I'm not going to comment on how Dante would look in a tight skirt...

But I'm a huge geek, I spend all day working on the computer between my various jobs, so I end up being able to (1) type fast...

I can't comment about teams complaining about running up the score. I know that's something I haven't complained about, but I can certainly see where some might. No one likes losing, especially by...
  21. Re: Lindenwood's championship game strategy: Why?

I disagree that it was because they were scared. Any coach with a team like that has little to be scared of... They have the talent and depth to wear down any team in the country - they certainly...
  22. Re: Reflections on a CRHL career, and my final game.

I can't speak for what anyone else may have been saying. It's certainly never fun to lose by nine goals, but sometimes that's the way things go. As for getting too used to winning all the time... ...
  23. Re: Reflections on a CRHL career, and my final game.

    Thanks for the well wishes.

I'll leave it for Dante to defend himself here, if he feels the urge to make an appearance. It seems likely, he does have a hard time keeping quiet. ;)

    Re: Rule Book information

I agree that in some ways it's hard to fault LU for the way they played, as it wasn't illegal. But I also think it wasn't exactly in the spirit of competition to play the game the way they ran it.

    Re: Rule Book information

Our strategy going into the game certainly wasn't to play the waiting game. But given how LU was playing the game, it was our best strategy overall. Because of the way they were situating their...
