I am glad to see that the talent of the Western Region continues to grow. I haven't checked the stats of nay other region but from what I can tell and from playing it is my belief that a team from the Western region will become the Collegiate champions. I know that Chico has high hopes and are working hard, Cal Poly Slo as usuall is a dominany force and UCSB is still doing well. I think that this years nationals are going to be a lot different than previous years as the Western Region teams will be the teams to beat and all the myth and glory behind Eastern hockey will dimish, atleast in roller hockey.

Right on Jake. I, personally, have checked out many other regions stats on many occasions, and they have similar problems as the west. Not getting stats up fast enough. You also can see in every region there is a team that is say 10-0 or something like that, and then teams that are 5-5, and some 2-8, or whatever. To compare divisions in the CRHL is impossible, which is why everyone thinks their league is the best. One test for us all is the ETS in Vegas, pitting 8 great hockey teams from across the divisions. Still that is a small way to compare the divisions, and inaccurate as well. I think in the future if there could be some cross-region events (which would be costly, ie. need more sponsors), which could serve as a comparison for the regions, and would improve the league/regions.

Inter-region action is already happening. Colorado State, Penn State, and Pitt have all visted the midwest. A few years ago, MSU went out east for a weekend and played 4 or 5 games. I'm not sure if it's a CRHL thing or a regional thing, but if teams come to the Midwest they do not pay for their games. It's supposed to encourage traveling into different regions.

I've also seen the same message coming from out west in the past. "The west will win it all...." So far, you are 0 for 2.

We can sit here all year saying this one or that one will win.......why not wait till April and then start talking?? I agree that we need more cross region competition(mainly because my team only has 7 more Midwest games, which means we're paying.....well, thats for another post).
