Bauer Rocker Hockey Stops

I would like info from people who have been skating with these. I know they claim that you can do hockey stops with these inlines, but they don't mention the surfaces. People who have tried, what surfaces can and can't you do a hockey stop on? I'm assuming a pair of inlines like these would be worthless on normal asphalt/concrete paths since they have no brake. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
