Does anyone have any idea when the season is supposed to start? Has their been any rumors or anything?

The rumor I heard is that Catch is going to be the league's commissioner. He'll make surrealist penalties mandatory and demand that all of the best teams play on one leg against weaker teams, for reasons of parity. And the very best insults on the rink will count for half a goal.

I think they want to start earlier. October will probably not leave them enough time to get all their stuff together, but I think maybe around November might be reasonable.

I would be interested in seeing some of these teams play on one leg, shoot me an email Rich with some other ideas and we can make our own league. ;)

One leg might be hard to accomplish/enforce......gotta make them turn their sticks upside down!

I just recieved an email from the AIHL about the conference calls and the agenda for the conference calls that are going to be taking place tommorow. I am not going to be able to participate in them, but I saw that on the agenda it talked about season length and types of game play such as 2 mini games, 1 long game, or jamboree style (3 games in one weekend). The lengths of the season for those choices that were given were, 36, 16, or 18. I think that if the Jamboree style is chosen than it is possible to play more than 18 games per season. I feel that a minimum of 30 games is necessary for this type of a league, and if you played 10 Jamboree's which would probably equal to the amount of travel that was done during the PIHA seasons, you could get 30 games no problem. Also I think that it would be a good idea if they had a jamboree during the East Coast and West Coast AAU Winter Nationals. Just my opinions, and I hope that someone maybe brings them up tommorow.
