I was scrolling through the site and noticed that 2 events for the upcoming season are posted already.

OCT 4 - SECRHL Opening Event - Snellville, GA

OCT 25- Secrhl even - Savannah, GA

So now I ask, what places does your team like to travel to?
What are the best rinks to play in?
What is your most despised rink and why?

Lake Worth, FL- Skatezone
Ft Myers, Fl- Skatium

Those are probably the best ones. They are both sport court and not 8 hrs away.
Snellville is okay it just sucks because it is a trip for southern teams.

BEACHTON, GA- Burn it down!! It is in Bum F%C^ nowhere and takes 30 minutes to get to from the closest hotel. The surface sucks and did I say its in the middle of nowhere.

I dont understand why for the southern division we cant get 2 Tournaments in Lake Worth and 2 in Ft.Myers. I think it is an easy trip for a lot of teams. FIU has a rough schedule because they have to travel so much. Going from Miami to Beachton twice a year and then Snellville twice. Ouch. You can get the following teams at Lake Worth and Ft Myers easily.
USF
UCF
UF
FIU
BCC
UT
FSU
Miami
UCFB
UFB
FIUB

I like the Columbia rink, i know a lot people dont like the surface, but I think its nice and its got a good location.

The most central location for the region is Savannah, but you cant have regionals there because they only have one rink.

Beachton was the longest and worst trip I may have ever taken. 8 hours in the car, and a terrible facility.

Interesting that there will be an event in Savannah...when the rink supposedly has been sold and is going to be converted to be used as a set for a cooking show... Have these plans changed?

Yes, the deal with Paula Dean fell through and the rink will open back up.

For the sake of hockey...I am glad the deal fell through. On the other hand, have seen this scenario too many times. I rink annouces that it is closing, the local hockey program shuts down, the deal on the rink sale falls through...and the hockey program takes years to recover.

Too bad...hopefully it can regroup quickly.
