Here's my problem (my hockey-related one anyway :))....... I've been using a Shanny curve for about 4 years now (Ultra Graphite). I'm a total wrist shot, top shelf kind o'guy from like 10 feet in. I always thought I was fairly accurate hitting the corners under the crossbar.
Recently, I've been missing the net on my shots in a big way. Usually over the bar, but also wide of the post. Now I hate to blame my hockey woes on equipment. However the only other change I've made in equipment since then is my wheels. I had used 72mm straight chassis wheels. I just switched to 72mm, 80mm hi-los (also switched skate boot from CCM 752 to 1152, but that wouldn't matter). I'm wondering if this 8mm difference is affecting my shot. Also, I've always used a long stick--I'm 5'11" and use a non-cut Ultra lite).
I don't know if I should try a new curve or what. Chances are, I'm just playing poorly, but hell if nothing else, it'll give me an excuse to head up to the hockey shop and buy something. :) If anyone has any suggestions or help, it'd be greatly appreciated.
