A while back some folks in Canada set a world record for the longest game of pickup hockey. I would like to have a similar event either early fall 2001 or beginning of spring next year, and would like to gage the interest from the inline hockey community in coming out to Northern Virginia or DC to participate. Let me know if this is something you are interested in!
For game matchups, I'm thinking 10 minute games, each team plays twice in a row with one team rotating out each game. Teams can play more than once during the weekend, especially for those who want to play throughout the night, but we need to have some way to distribute the teams throughout the weekend so play never stops. We want it to go all night, all weekend long!
The game will be coordinated by www.PickupHockey.Net, with un-named corporate sponsors providing food/drinks/wares etc, in an un-named venue either in Washington, DC, or nearby VA. Anyone interested in getting on board for that can contact me at joea@pickuphockey.net.
