Practice spaces

This is just a shot in the dark, but does anyone practice on a wood floor? I'm talking basketball-gym type flooring that is actually a basketball court at other times.

I used to play in a league that had a wood floor, It has a coating over it and it is a roller skating rink. The coating makes for a slow moving game though.
