Anybody from the region know where the best area to stay for nationals is, or a particular hotel by the rink?

Well if your looking for a place between both rinks theres a Holiday Inn, has a pool and hot tub inside and its about 2 minutes from Omni and 5 from Tri Plex, its actually right off 70 and its in Cave Springs (St.Peters). So I'm sure you can go to the company web site and find the exact phone number but thats definitly your best bet for lodging.

There's also a Drury Inn in St. Peters just off of Highway 70 by Mid-Rivers Mall. It's between the exits for both rinks.

DO NOT STAY AT THE HOLIDAY INN!!!! We had an awful experience there last season. We stayed there for Winter Invitational and it was awful. If you so much as plan on having a little bit of fun along with your business not the place to do it. I sware if you as much as fart to loud the front dest is crawling all over your ass! And if you need a late check out....forget about it! When we called to the front desk to ask for one they laughed at us, literally! As for the pool and hot tub, not very clean at all, and the sauna looked like a dungeon. Just think again before booking there.

If you want something nice, try the Winghaven area. It's 5-10 minutes from the rink.

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn for the last 3 regular season week-ends. It's not the top of the line Holiday Inn, but they have treated us well and we have had no problem. I would endorse this place as a convenient place at a decent price. We used to use a Courtyard that was 10 minutes further away, but they raised their rates 30% this past year, so we switched to the Holiday Inn Select. It is easy to find and not far from the rinks, as well as close to a variety of food establishments.

there is an embassy suites off of Fifth Street in Saint Charles, that is probably 10-15 minutes from matteson and 5-10 from omni that has free happy hour and free hot breakfast every morning...$119 a night though from what i hear
