USA inline cup

is anyone aware if the inline cup arena has renovated their rink. i played there last year and it was a complete wreck. let me know please. i am not sure if i want to waste my money traveling down their if things havent been fixed.

i saw that as well, but there was a tournament their a couple of weeks ago and the feedback i got from those that went said that their is duck tape on the floor and the sport court has a bunch of connection issues where the puck jumps up in the air and so on. not to mention the guy that was murdered behind the rink when the tournament was going on. again this is all hear say from people that i see regularly and i just wanted to know if their was any one else out their that has been to the las vegas rink RECENTLY that can assure me that everything is ok. last thing that i need is to get shot on the way to the car. or having to go to one of the neighboring stores in my goalie gear to just go to the bathroom. last year would have been a blast if the rink was up to par. i geuse all i want is a positive experience with my teammates in vegas. and please let their be a better award than a beer mug (give me a break) just my opinion. Skylier just came back from the Six-Pac event last weekend...he says it is way better than last year. The floor has grip this year, where, for him, it didn't last year. No gaping seams that stop pucks like last year. The floor is not 100% even, though, and everybody did witness a few pucks hopping around, over sticks, hard-to-settle, etc...

Dan C., the owner, is building new team dressing rooms as we speak, behind the players benches side, and they are promised to be ready in time for the InLine Cup in Sept/Oct...at least that's what Dan told Skylier, who asked...

i, too, was very discouraged by the condition of the floor last year. I didn't think it would have taken very much effort to at least have the floor clean, which it wasn't...even...and that mis-seamed place on the north side of the center circle just stopped dead at least three pucks that I saw, including a one-on-one in the final two minutes of play in one game, and a breakaway in another game...

I am counting on the rink being playable. I have made my commitment to play in this event.

From a player who plays at the rink once a week. The floor is better then it was but like waht was said the puck bounces and will not stay flat. The floor is not even but its been like that since it was laid down.The cement below needs to get resmoothed or torn up and repoured. The locker room frames sre up but no sheet rock up yet. The new locker rooms should be better then the ovens that are the old ones. I sweated more changing then I did during a game. I hope this helps.

on the usa hockey inline website said that they have leveled the floof as part of their attempts to make the facility better. reason i say this is that you said their hasnte been any changes to the floor? is the website false, or did the floor get smoothed out? being a goalie i know its hard when you attempt to stop a 90mph slapshaot thats on the floor then all of a sudden it hits the tiles and tips to corner. i just need to know so i have an idea on what to expect. thanx to all that has responded.

I do not believe the floor is bad near the goals but i will ask my goalie on thursday what he notices about the floor and what the puck does.
