I am proud to announce that Holbrook Inline Sports Center in Holbrook, MA is under new management. The new name for the multi sport complex is Holbrook Sports Center. The facility will be undergoing a number of improvements over the summer, the most important of which will be the lengthening of the inline hockey rink.

HSC is the home rink for a number of successful inline hockey programs. HSC will host all home games for the Boston Roller Rats / Holbrook Swamp Donkeys organization when the Professional Inline Hockey Association expands into the northeast next season. HSC will also serve as the home rink for Team Rink Rat's youth programs. In addition, HSC will continue to host games for the East Coast Inline Hockey League when they begin their second season this fall. HSC is also scheduled to hold a Mid Atlantic Roller Hockey Association regional event on July 29, 2006.

Beyond the above named teams and events, HSC will also have a full schedule of house league programs available for both teams and individuals to join. On Sunday afternoons, HSC currently offers a B/C roller hockey division that plays with a ball. This is a recreational co-ed division that caters to players who possess a skill level anywhere from beginner to advanced. Games start at noon and continue throughout the day.

There is a new puck division that is scheduled to begin play on Monday July 10. Teams and individuals are being accepted as we speak in preparation for this highly anticipated league. This is a co-ed division that caters to players who possess a skill level ranging from advanced to elite.

Tuesday is the most popular night at HSC, as a total of 14 teams compete in an A/B division ball league that also plays occasional games on Wednesday. Teams who enter this league must be able to play at least one of their scheduled games on Wednesday. This is a co-ed division that caters to the advanced roller hockey player.

The remaining available floor time on Wednesday will be taken up by a proposed street hockey league that will also begin playing in July. This is an open co-ed division that caters to players of all skill levels.

Thursdays are currently our most competetive night of hockey during the week at HSC. This is the one night where all of the elite players from the rink compete in an A/B division ball league to see who is the best of the best at HSC. This division is not for the faint of heart and any teams interested in joining this division should be prepared for an intense game week in and week out.

Fridays and Saturdays are currently open for rentals but future plans for these nights include various tournaments, skills competitions, and other fun and unique inline hockey events to be announced very soon.

The facility also has a lighted outside turf field that has leagues for sports including flag football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, whiffle ball, and kickball. There are also multiple youth programs available at HSC.

For more information regarding any of the above mentioned leagues and activities, please call us at 781-981-5591 or e-mail us at holbrooksportscenter@yahoo.com . You can also learn more about HSC at www.holbrooksportscenter.com .

I would like to personally thank Richard Graham for allowing me to post this information on IHC's message board. Before posting, I checked with Richard to see if this announcement would violate his "no commercial messages" policy. Richard agreed to allow this post, noting that it was indeed news worthy and industry related. This is just one more example of how Richard's support for our great sport is his primary concern and I'm certainly glad that IHC is available to everyone. It truly benefits all of us in the inline hockey community.

Hey Ruppy,

Very informative post. I think I'll put it on the Home Page as well.

Good luck with all of your programs, and thanks for the kind words.
