I am a lifelong ice hockey player who started playing inline about 8 years ago. I wore nothing but Bauer for ice and have had the same pair of 5000 composites (ice boot)/Kuzak Pro chasis/76 mm Labeda Grippers since I started inline. Needless to say they have held up incredibly, the boot is still stiff, but the are finally rotting off my feet. I need new skates and have no idea what kind to buy nowadays. Are the new Bauers anything like the old ones? Are there any inline boots that offer the same support/durability as an ice boot, without the weight? I have been looking online at CCM Externo Outcatst, CCM PF8, Mission D2c and Nike Hi-Ho Silver II. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Check out the NEW misson 06' line they are WAY more stiffer than any other inline skate you can get...I would say look at the 7500's they are the best bang for your buck by far...Dont bother with the 05' missions they are terriable not stiff at all had tons of trouble with them..You could always get an ice boot you like and get a frame mounted on them...The Red Star E-frame is a great frame and you cant beat the price most places have them for around $45
