I know the idea has been kicked around before but I don't see why it couldn't be worked out. If a group of Directors and club managers could get together and agree on some things why couldn't a youth travel league be put together? With the number of rinks and clubs that are going in the Philadelphia area and Central Jersey there is no reason why we could do something similar to what is done in youth ice hockey. Obviously the schedules would have to be worked out around tourneys and the like but why could we do something like this and play a season thats done by february when the tourney season starts to heat up. It would give the kids that many more high level games each year. I'd love to hear everyones opinions on this one!

It is being worked on right now. Look for this to happen some time early next season (Sept/Oct ish)

Well Tab Ramos Sports Center and GoodSports USA in central NJ has merged there youth hockey leagues beginning in the Fall. Just to get things started the format will run as follow:

1. Teams will play there regular season games against all in house teams from there own rink.

2. The Winner from each facility will then play each in a Central New Jersey Championship.

I mean it isn't really that much travel but it is a start to get roller teams going in some form of a travel program. Both Scott Baldwin and I feel you must take baby steps to get a true travel program off the ground.

Seems like a good idea but I was looking for something more geared toward the tournament level kids. Since they are already the ones who travel to play its more likely that they well be interested in something like this.

You could probably find a few New York teams that would be interested in that as well
