Does anyone know what the regulation Roller Inline rink size is suppose to be? Thanks.
I believe they allow some variance....but the target size for a std. rink is 185' x 85', although they allow from 165' x 75' up to full Olympic size rinks, due to the availability of previously existing facilities as well as the availability of converted ice rinks in some regions.

From the 2001 edition of the:
Federation of Roller Sports (FIRS)
International Committee for Roller Inline Hockey (CIRILH)
Rules of the Game:
Rule One - Rink
(c) dimensions of the rink may vary between 20 and 30 metres in width (65-100 feet) and 40 and 60 metres in length 130-200 feet) as long as the 1:2 ratio is observed.

I know some of you out there have a smaller-than-regulation rink, and some of you play 2v2 or 3v3 league or tournament play. However, for those of you who haven't...
For seven years, the Nations-Tobin Hockey League played all its divisions on a 56' x 92' playing surface, from 4/5 year olds up though elite adults.
I recall that Chris Street, the one time he came down and played with a few of our novice adults, didn't think very much of our floor, or our program...Chris' evaluation aside:
Now that we have had our new, full-size facility for a couple of years, we have recently gone back and re-added a 3v3 league on "the little floor."
We are remembering all the cool tactics, decision-making, and quick-quick-quick action that you have to play on the smaller playing surface.
Lemme tell ya, this is fun! Everybody loves it! It's a break from the usual levels of play...it's like playing in your living room when you were a kid.
A couple of months back, there was an article in USA Hockey Magazine about this guy in Phoenix that has three, 3v3 ice rinks that he has going morning, noon, and night!
If, as a rink operator, you haven't tried cross-floor, 3v3, plus goalkeepers, not just kids, but adults, premier players, everybody...then you are missing a fun, exciting, additional product that inline hockey players will like...a lot!
We really recommend it, and would look forward to a slate of 3v3 games on a "little Standard size," say, 60' x 100' floor, in a national tournament. That would be very cool...

I totally agree here...
At Marple Sports Arena, the "little floor" is slightly bigger, I believe, than what you've mentioned, however it would be perfect for this.
I remember back in high school, when I first started playing... We would frequent this outdoor rink of about the same size, and get 3v3 games going from 6 to 10pm, non-stop. It was some of the most fun times I've ever had on skates, and I miss those days...
It would be great to play that again, without the worries of road rash, ruined equipment, and shattering a knee on cement-anchored nets... ;)
