Position: Referee II - Roller Hockey
Category: Recreation/Sports/Aquatics
Starting Pay Range: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
Status/Hours: Part Time
Basic Assignments
Officiate youth and adult roller hockey games in accordance with YMCA policy. Assist the Program Director with related projects. Ensure the safety of each participant and strive daily to build self-confidence, and instill the values of ??Caring, Honesty, Respect, & Responsibility.?
Qualifications · At least 2 year experience playing High School, College or Club level Roller Hockey or an official??s certification from an accredited organization.
· Ability to work with volunteers.
· CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment.
· Must be at least 17 years of age or older.
· Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
· Ability to sufficiently supervise and interact with children and enforce safety standards.
Major Functions
· Officiate and maintain control of roller hockey games.
· Promote healthy values and leadership skills
· Assist the Director with league related activities.
· Observe YMCA of San Diego County policies and procedures.
