I'm gonna say Tour only because two of the Mission skates I had ripped & one of their chassis cracked. I had a pair of 962s which I used 'til they lost their support. Haven't had a chance to try the new Tour's though.

Had the same experience with early Missions...2 of three pairs...have not been back since. The new Tours seem to be a super skate so far..they are based on the same 962 last.

ive had 2 pairs of missions fall apart too. one pair the whole sole section cracked down the middle and the skate basically fell apart. mission replaced them tho. and i had a pair of d1's have the boot separate from the outsole. im quite a hard skater but not particulaly heavy or strong so i didnt get it. also i found the d2's almost impossible to skate in no real ankle support. bought a new pair straught off. but then the tours r too wide for my feet. so im a nike girl personally!!!!!

WOW.... I have been fortunate to have been around both lines and products and Natioanl sales reps. I can tell you my son loves the Tour Beemer Skate. He used the Missions for years. The difference TO HIM was the comfort of the boot. The new Lo Boy chassis on the Beemers is a GREAT improvement for them. Even when it comes to Wheels too.
Mission came into inline with both barrels a blazing and flooded the market to almost bankruptcy. They have modified their business practices and know they are a great product and have realized how good all of this is for everyone. Mission made a great step in adding Factory Wheels to their Heliums. Head to toe, Mission is nothing to sneeze at.

Tour On the other hand you dont see them doing the cartwheels out on the road but you see the stong consistancy across the board. Tour has been INLINE hockey for several years. Walt Frazier and Chad Seibel have been there all along. The products that stand by with out question. My son is hard on skates and when or if there was a problem they stand behind it. I am not saying Mission doesnt. I am just saying Tour does. The sticks from Tour are becoming stronger and better consistanly. Right now My son uses the new SAVAGE and loves it!!

Both companys support in line hockey well. Midwest it seems like is TOUR to the utmost. West coast its Mission, as is New England/East Coast. You wont go wrong either way. I know that is being diplomatic as one can be, bottom line is we can make many choices in your use of products. Thankfully MYLEC has been surpassed!

I will say this too.... I have been fortunate enough to have Mission, Tour, and Factory all assist me with product and support. Thanks to you ALL!!

Tour has unique concepts while Mission is a bit more traditional. It is all a matter of personal preference.

Wow, to hear Mission seriously referred to as "traditional." Wow.

On a semi-alternate note, I would be interested to hear from anybody regarding the Gear line of skates. My Stubbies are still exhibiting no inside boot wear, now after 16 months, and over 2000 hours of use. Fifth set of wheels, third set of bearings...I continue to grant they are admittedly clunky, compared to top-end Missions, Tours, but they are a tremendous value for low-end product. Big Daddies are the only Gear model I can find on the internet presently, and they are now priced in the $100 range. Hey, I know that is very low end compared to the $400-$600 models currently under discussion on this thread, but I remind everybody that I got my Stubbies for $39.95...

Anybody else use these things (any Gear model)???

Simplemente, just to chime in, then let's do that...when you assert your experience regarding Mission's calidad, you obviously speak from experience.

In response to others questioning the durability, the fit, the weight, the on-floor performance of various Mission models, is your experience different? Are you going to pass off all the reports to the contrary of your position with "that's only the older models?"

People on this board are really interested in your opinion, but even more interested in the information you have to back up your opinion. It is that information that really has the value.

How about it, can we hear more from your actual experience on Missions? I swear by Missions as well, I like the fit, the feel, the on-floor touch. I have had the older model chassis problems as well, but I loved the early model boots, and have worn three pair down to rags before parting with them. If not for my Stubbies, I would still be playing in Missions, see the $399 D-limited adventure somewhere else on this board...

My Daughter, who actually cried teenage female tears of anger when I got her first Tours (didn't want to change from Missions either), now won't wear anything else but Tour. Go figure...Caitlin really likes the fit, the stiffness of the boot -she doesn't lace her skates hardly at all- and the inner boot durability. She has yet to wear out a set of boots before growing out of them, and this is a teen player who averages 1200 hours per year on the blue floor.

Dude, let us have some more info out of you, eh? Es gibt mehr infomation, und wir alle brauchen es, nicht wahr?

ciao!
Hasta luego...

I have never tried any Tour stuff... I've been a Mission freak ever since my first coach said Mission made great skates. I got a pair, and fell in love with them. They eventually broke (the chassis broke off from the boot), but I got a new pair (of Mission skates). Awhile after, I got Mission gloves, a Mission stick, and even Mission elbow pads (which were a great deal online, and had a ton of protection). I am now an ice hockey player, so I look kind of weird with the Mission ice hockey pants, mission stick, mission gloves, and mission ice hockey skates. Someone said "you were an inline player, weren't you?" I just laughed. So, I choose Mission, even though I never got the chance to try any Tour stuff out!! =)
