The Pottstown Firebirds are sorry to announce that we will be inactive for the upcoming 2004-2005 season. We appreciate everyone?s time and interest that has been put into the organization and that planned to be a part of the organization this upcoming season.

Please note that this has NOTHING to do with any of the leagues changes and restructuring that has occurred over the past few weeks. We will continue to stand behind the new league and will see you all as well as many new teams in the 2005-2006 season!

See you then? and get ready for the Birds to fly back!!!

Sorry to hear that. It's a good place to play. Hope everyone goes to other teams to keep in the game. The organization has really good people and they worked really hard at gameday preparations.

What does this leave 4 teams left in the league? I guess this is how the season is going to end in December.

I still don't understand how the league is starting in September considering most teams did not even have try-outs yet.

Google the SEHL semi pro ice hockey league. 4 teams, and their home page says they have been recognized by the NHL as a true league along with the AHL and the ECHL. They have added a 5th team this season. I think I counted 6 teams for XIHL, so far.

Does that mean that the NHL will now recognize all of the leagues now. lol....


All kidding aside, it would be nice to have one league. Again, all the other leagues can serve as a minor affiliate.

Thats a fine idea, so why dont you get together with all the teams you want in the upper league then you can call the other league owners and tell them that there teams are minor league teams now. Im sure that would go over real smooth. Dont you see with these three guys coming together that obviously they are trying to form 1 league, and its probably not as easy as saying "lets form 1 league." So give them a break for a little bit and wait to see what happens, i mean what is all the bugging for? Do you have another league that is hounding you to play and your holding out, im pretty sure thats not happening so sit back and wait like the rest of us.

Goalies do it better with their eyes closed!!
