State Wars Update :

The last few days have been incredible. After going public with State Wars only a few days ago, we have received close to 500 emails, each of them full of excitement and support. What makes us so proud is the fact that we have gotten responses from players in nearly every different state in the country.

State Wars is proud to announce that not only are we being supported by NARCh and USA Hockey Inline but by TORHS as well. We now have the support of not only every major hockey company in the industry but of the three most powerful tournament organizations in the world !

Our goal at State Wars is to not only find the top players in every age year in every state in the country but to promote the sport and help it grow. We currently have the support of the following states, with more and more coming on board everyday :
Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

In each of these states we have found one or two high quality individuals who will act as State Directors. These directors are the cream of the crop when it comes to roller hockey in their home state. For now we are going to keep their names a secret but we will give you one small hint as to who one of these men are, just so you can see the type of individuals we are speaking about. We don't want to brag but one of our directors lives in Pennsylvania and is considered by many to be the greatest roller hockey player in the world !

Stay tuned for more info and please visit our website at www.statewarshockey.com

This is one of the best ideas to come out of roller hockey in a long while. I look forward to being involved with such an event. In my past experience, McManus and Dimitrovic really know what's going on with the sport. Good luck guys!

Got a message on my cell today from Dimitrovic. Sounds like it could be really huge for the sport. I'm looking forward to being a part of it and working with him and McManus. This could be the boost that this great sport needs to finally receive the recognition it deserves. I'm sure that Team Louisiana will have their work cut out for them. Good Luck to Tim & Jason and all participating states. Speak to you soon.

I second the vote for an adult division, but I also would like to start a vote for an over 30 division for some of those guys who still can play....AKA Steve Ying!!!!

30 and over sounds good to me. I'm getting tired of trying to chase those young ones around. They have no mercy on their elders.

I am young but I respect my elders cause you guys are the ones who grew the sport. That and the fact that a lot of thes guys who are older than me cold wipe the floor with me in a game. Respect is something that a lot of younger players haven't gotten yet, but in time they will. If they are gonna do this thing I think they should have an adult as well as a Over-30 division because it would give everybody an oppurtunity to say their state is the best. GO PENNSYLVANIA!!!!!!!

thanks jeff. i would like to see how our state stacks up against the others. i think we'd do OK. over 30 is some fun hockey. still competetive but not near as intense as the pro division.

PA.? I think your overlooking the great state of Massachusetts Ying. As we are the mecca for inline hockey on the east coast. Well maybe from the Mass. southern border and up. Yea, we kick N.H., Maine, VT and R.I. butt.

let's just say i don't have any more money than i went there with. i'm awful at the casino. i live about 10 minutes from the sportscenter so i'll probably come check out some of the games on saturday. are you coming in and are you guys staying over? if you win, of course.
as for you Rog...i do think mass could put together a nice team, but R.I. lets be honest, they have Hunt. that's two for the other team right off the bat. LOL
(still waiting for that infamous email...it's getting close to that time)

Is RINKRAT going to supply wheels to the players who make their states team in each division as ProJoy is doing with the jerseys?

I think we would have a decent team in PA....Yoder, Yings, Mazer, and a plethora of other elite players not even mentioned here....I intend to stay out there if we win....If not i will catch you up there indefinately on saturday. If we do I hear the beer is on you!!!

Ying, sucking up to Mr. Hunt is not going to delay or stop the dreaded email from surfacing. The only way to avoid the "news" would be to shut down your system, put your snail mail on hold, disconnect your home and cell phones, pack up the wife and kids, and go hide somewhere in South America. Return only at 10 secs before game time of the first game. Even then you might be getting something. Maybe a printed email. Good luck. This message will destruct in 6 secs. I've already been handed the "news". I don't want Mike getting a hold of this one. He might think I'm on your side. Which I'm NOT. Mike's like a brother to me. One of my best friends in the whole world. Hell, I'd let him date my sister. He's a great hockey player too.

I live for those. Delaware has some hidden talent we might be able to surprise some people. Any idea who the rep will be here in DE. Ronny Tracey runs the Pound but lives in NJ.

Goalies do it better with their eyes closed!!
