With PIHA playoffs in less than 10 days, has there been a decision on the minor league format for Lemoyne ( June 12th and 13th)? Any updates in standing....much appreciated...Thank you

Swoosh should still be in first place even though we lost to the minutemen last week. i would assume that they will post the format on the web site soon.

OKAY here is the deal. This has been confirmed by Charley Yoder over the weekend. The Playoff format for both pro and minor are 100% the same. Meaning the 1st and 2nd seeds will be the top teams in each divsion. The next best 4 teams will be 3-6, without regard to division. Saturday in Lemoyne is the quarter-final round 3 v 6 & 4 v 5. Sunday in the semifinal round 1 v lowest & 2 v highest. The following weekend in York is the best of 3 finals for both pro and minor.

Current Standings

Nasty Boyz 11-7 (22pts) games remaining: 1 y
Typhoon 10-6 (20pts) games remaining: 3 y
Lunatics 7-10 (14pts) games remaining: 2
Shockwave 4-14 ( 8pts) games remaining: 1 x

Minutemen 11-6 (22pts) games remaining: 2 y
Extremes 10-6 (20pts) games remaining: 3 y
Growl 8-9 (16pts) games remaining: 2
Breakaway 7-10 (14pts) games remaining: 2

y Clinched Playoff Birth
z Clinched Division Title
x Eliminated From Playoffs

The tie-breaker is head to head first, followed by goals against, goals for.

i just got done reading the website and the playoff format they listed....they have the playoffs starting june 5th for both leagues and then havein the finals the following weekend.....are these dates wrong on the website? bc there are still regular season games schedule to finish this weekend

The dates are wrong on PIHA's website. In speaking with the head cheese himself AF, the quarterfinals and semifinals for both minor and pro will be the weekend of the 12th. The following weekend will be in York for the final four teams ( two pro, two minor, for those who can't count). If I am correct, the tremors will play the minutemen right now ( 3 vs 6). The scrappers will play the lunatics ( 4 vs 5) at 5:45 on Saturday June 12th. If Lemoyne were to lose their final two games ( which i highly doubt it), and the tremors win on Friday at York, then the tremors will play the Scrappers. The Minutemen and Scrappers can flip flop as well, but waiting on some of the results of this weekends games...Hope this makes sense.....

A game is a game, I'll play as much hockey as possible. We have a 17 game season, we should play 17 games.

yeah god forbid they have a press release on the website concerning the cancelled games last weekend...are they going to be made up?? an answer would be nice from the league... or they will probably call the coaches on the day they decide to have the game and expect a full team there in two hours, what a joke...

Who are you? I have a pretty good idea if I had to guess. I have a great idea, why don't you call Charlie Yoder and offer your services.

Ah... such a refreshing outlook in the midst of so many hatemongers posting lately. Nicely worded.

I really wish half the people who talk so much trash would sign their names. I bet we'd all have a good laugh at their expense.

But we all know that would never happen.

I would certainly want to get what I paid for, if nothing else.

agreed, since most of the players have to pay toplay in this "professional" league it would be nice to be kept up to date on what is going on through out the league...

I'd respond but I have to go back to my day job. After all, I have to earn the money so I can pay to play in the 'professional league.' I won't stand for that much longer though. We all know we're so good we should be paid handsomely to grace the world's rinks with our almighty presence. Hell, I can put the puck between my legs and shoot it without tripping myself (most of the time). That's got to be worth a few grand right there. I might have to boycott my men's house league until they realize I'm not just another hockey player that loves playing hockey, but rather a rare commodity that should be showered with money and MVP medals to make my weekly appearances.

I'll even consider a stone statue outside the rink, but every time someone touches it, I'll need royalties.

What teams charge to play for the pro team???

just curious...

I am curious how this works. I am sure teams ask for some kind of tryout fee, but are players suppose to also pay for Jerseys, Equipment, League Fee and Travel? What about salaries? Are players actually getting paid?

Naz, you're trying to tell me you didn't get the memo on that one? I got my statue last week in York. Sitting right next to me VIP parking spot for my helicopter. Wait, you forgot to mention the gold plated locker stalls with thier own showers and vanity mirrors so we look good for our thousands of groupies that follow us around the country. Naz, It'll be okay...
Good luck to you guys this weekend, and to everyone in PIHA.

Hey Frank,

I saw you at our game last week but you were gone by the time we were done getting dressed after the game. I am sorry I could not sign you an autograph! But you probably didn't have the $45 fee with you anyways.

/wtimages/icons/wink.gif good luck!

Naz,

Since I am such a special person could I get your autograph for $44.50 I only have that much cash for the next two weeks. It would well be worth that for me cause you know that you are my favorite pro and I do have a shrine of you in my home. God knows I work on perfecting my snap shot to be just like yours.

Your favorite Stalker,

PS You guys all know this is a joke of a thread at this point now.
