Hi Folks,
England's Denbighshire County Council Leisure Services have come together with the Rhyl Rhinos Inline Hockey Club officials to form the 'Denbighshire Annual Shield Tournament, which will be held on May 22.
The tournament will be held at the Rhyl Leisure Centre, Grange Road, Rhyl, not far from Liverpool, England. Spectators are welcome to attend. There will be raffle tickets on sale with prizes such as tickets to a local theatre and tournament programs with a free raffle ticket, all monies raised will be donated back into the local sports development projects.
There will be three age groups taking part, U11(7-11yrs), U14(12-14) and U18(15-18 yrs). Teams taking part are Rhyl 'Rhinos', St Asaph 'Shadows', Conwy 'Rage', Prestatyn 'Piranhas' and Team 'Predators.'
Anyone interested in learning about 'Inline Hockey' should come along and see an actual match. If you enjoy what you see then please feel free to speak to tournament organizer Tracy Lawrence or Head Official Kevin Lawrence. Miss Caroline Barrow (Sports Development officer) will be presenting some medals on behalf of Denbighshire County Council Leisure Services.
